The locales for es-ES, gl-ES and it-IT are currently incomplete. It would be great if somebody could help me out.

New translations are welcome, of course.

Hi,

I uploaded a major update for Contact Tabs on Babelzilla. This version is supposed to be Contact Tabs 2. I improved almost every aspect of the addon and kindly ask you to update your translation. I had to move various things around but tried to keep everything working. I'd like to apologize in advance if I screwed up a string or two.

I would like to release Contact Tabs 2 in time for either Thunderbird 16 or 17, the sooner the better.

Thanks to our combined effort Contact Tabs now has more than 15,000 users on a good day. I don't know if this is a huge number but I'm very happy with it.

You have bug in the contacttabs.xul file, so I can't tests my translation. Error Console reports:

in which locale does this occur? If this happens with your polish translation make sure to replace the '<' and '>' signs with &lt; and &gt; entities.

You are right. I thought that BabelZilla properly changed the '<' and '>' signs with &lt; and &gt; when I download files.
Some remarks:

• not localized value="Create new contact for @C"
• not working on Mac

I attached a screenshot and highlighted the strings. These are prefixes in front of the phone numbers and addresses when you search for phone numbers or addresses.

I could use any help I can get for Mac OS as I don't have access to one. If you could make it work on Mac I'd be very happy.

Hi, speedball2001

I have erased all pre-filled English (en-US) text from the locale files for this add-on.
The reason is that any non-en-US locale file updated with English text, and then uploaded
to BabelZilla, will look like it is 100 % translated if you fill in the new strings (Image 1),
and we (the translators) must search through all text to find the new strings. That is not
so difficult when the locale files are short (like yours are), but e.g. hotkeys, access keys
and abbreviated strings are harder to find.

The only files you have to update before you upload a new version of your add-on is
the en-US locale files. If you do that, BabelZilla will automatically insert the new strings
into the other locales' language files, with the English string text as the translation
source text. That will also make the new strings red and easy to find in the translation
editor interface (Image 2). If you want all locale files to include all strings, even if some
are untranslated, you can download the locale files with the missing/untranslated strings
pre-filled or empty (Image 3).

thanks a bunch! I didn't know that. In fact, I found it quite annoying to replicate all the strings in every locale. I'm happy that I don't have to do that

Hi all!
As I reported personally to Janek, Italian translation is complete, but I had to submit it to the Italian Committee.
I did not have any answer yet so I did not change the flag from "submitted for Q/A" to "Released" and so no notification arrived to the author. Anyway if Janek wants to collect my traslation anyway, he can whenever he wants.
