We are aware of the problem and we will probably have a workaround in the code to recognize this type of extensions. -------------------- Think Global, Make Locales!

Welcome
A short question: I downloaded the latest version of SchedTimer from AMO and noticed that it hasn't been localised yet. Is the version you tried to submit fully localised? On BabelZilla you'll get help with translating strings etc., but before that you'll have to localise those strings yourself to en-US locale files. There might be someone here that could help you with that, but most of us are translators with no deeper knowledge of programming. And a short note: I took the liberty of changing the add-on home page address from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/schedtimer/ to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/schedtimer/ The only difference is that I removed the "en-US/" part. But the effect is that the link will direct the user to the user's own locale on AMO instead of only go to the en-US page. That is handy if you localise the information on the AMO page; you only need one link instead of one for each translated locale. Locales that haven't been translated will automatically get the English version. /Lakrits -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

Sorry for this late reply. I didn't get a notification for replies in this topic.
I know this is a different kind of extension, because it's built with Mozilla's Add-on SDK. And it has basic localization. The SDK tells us the translators need to provide a properties file like en-US.properties. I'm knew to Babelzilla, so how would I really simple provide the en-US file for others to translate and then re-upload? Thanks. |

A simple file structure as suggested here would do, but it would be impossible to test the locale, because the xpi would be non-functional (unless you rebuild the extension for this specific purpose). We have been looking into hosting restartless extensions, but are (unfortunately) not technically ready yet. My suggestion would be to upload the files-to-be-translated into the forum ‘Other Translation Requests’ as an intermediate solution, pending WTS improvements. -------------------- |

I tried to use the extension on WTS and AMO, but can't test with my locale.
For Chinese user, it takes a little bit longer to type Chinese characters and we have different habbit to call a day. So could you supply options to choose from rather than let users to type them? |

Hi, thanks for your information. I'll have to investigate how I can do that. There are some other issues with the current release of Firefox. So I'll be working on that too.
