I uploaded a new Element Hiding Helper version (has been a long while since the previous one). There is a new meta.properties file - this is some metadata, works the same way as for Adblock Plus. In the extension name you probably only want to change the "for" part - e.g. the German translation of "Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus" is "Element Hiding Helper für Adblock Plus". about.dtd is also similar to the file in Adblock Plus, many strings are identical.

Please note that translations need to be ready by 1st of November, anything that is done later will most likely not make it into the release. Really sorry about the short notice but this needs to be released simultaneously with Adblock Plus 1.3.

rolleyes.gif I just updated the French locale and gave a test run. Though probably minor things (or normal because in-progress build), I noticed a couple of issues

Attached File  missingBits.png ( 64.51K ) Number of downloads: 5

The description in the exetnsion manager remains in English
The translators list is blank

Attached File  selectionFailed.png ( 88.72K ) Number of downloads: 5

more intriguing, I was not able to add a new hiding rule

steps to reproduce
1. select "Select an element to hide" in adp dropdown menu
2. have an image red-framed and click
3. the dialog window (as in capture above) opens as expected

... but nothing appears in the filter field, and it is impossible to write anything in (everything is greyed out)

my config
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr-FR; Firefox 3.6.11
EHHelper v. 1.1b.20101026
ABP v. 1.2.2

my test build attached

******* UPDATE : functionnal with ABP most recent build! smile.gif Attached File  lastBuild.png ( 70.65K ) Number of downloads: 5

That's fine, to be expected. The build that I upload to Babelzilla has no localized metadata because Babelzilla doesn't seem to handle it well. Both the localized metadata and the translators will be correct in the final build.

The other issue is probably due to the old Adblock Plus version being used. This Element Hiding Helper build is only compatible with Adblock Plus 1.3 - you need a development build from https://adblockplus.org/devbuilds/adblockplus/. I should make sure it won't even start selecting the element.

I confirm smile.gif tested successfully with last build. Thanks.

I've added three new strings for the next release (hopefully next Wednesday). These are used for the Page Inspector integration and will only show up in Firefox 10 and higher, current Firefox versions don't have Page Inspector yet. If you select an element with Page Inspector you will have a "Hide with ABP" button (or the translated equivalent).

Hi,

There is one issue with the French translation of the latest version of EHH.

Quoting: https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php...469&p=60796

QUOTE
The first one is a small typo in composer.dtd:
CODE
<!ENTITY nodes-tree.node.label "Noeud">

should be:
CODE
<!ENTITY nodes-tree.node.label "Nœud">

The second one has already been resolved in a previous change.

Hi everybody,

Adblock Plus translations moved from Babelzilla to Crowdin today. I decided to do the same for Element Hiding Helper now without waiting for a new translation round. So Element Hiding Helper can now be translated under http://crowdin.net/project/elemhidehelper/. Crowdin will hopefully ensure a less complicated and less buggy translation experience. I would very much appreciate it if you would register on crowdin.net and continue contributing.

My other translation projects can be seen in my Crowdin profile: http://crowdin.net/profile/WladimirPalant/projects. I would appreciate some help with those as well.

Thank you,
Wladimir
