Hi Wladimir,
may I ask who's responsible for the German translation of the new version of Adblock Plus? It seems to have vastly improved compared to former versions, so I'm curious. And, I have to admit, I'd like to propose a slight improvement for the naming of the contextmenu entries. So is there any chance to get in contact with the current translator? Thanks, Oliver -------------------- |

Thanks for the praise, I'm doing this translation myself
There is some discussion on the naming of menu items here: http://www.firefox-browser.de/forum/viewto...p=231314#231314 |

Hm.... Was denkst du? Oliver PS@all: Sorry for this German interlude, but it felt somewhat strange to write in English here when talking about a German topic to someone who knows German. Auch im Rumänisch kann man "Adblock" nicht als Verb nutzen. Für meine Übersetzung habe ich das einfaches Verb hinzugefügt (z.B. "Adblock: [...] blockieren"). |

ultravioletu: That's three translations (de, ru and ro) that do it this way then: "Adblock: block image". And a few dropped the word "Adblock" from the context menu alltogether. I think the first should be the prefered way of translating the context menu and the other translations need to be adjusted (unless "Adblock" really can be used as a verb in the language).

Mmm... Just as example, I also excluded "Adblock" (as noun) and used the word as a verb, because in the Italian language isn't so much logical to read "Adblock: block ****" So, in order to use however the name of the extension, may I invert and interpret in the Italian localization the position of "Adblock"? Practical example: Block *********** with Adblock Plus Please, let me know Thanks -------------------- ![]() E' meglio tacere ed essere, che dire e non essere (Ignazio, II sec. d. I was considering leaving this "Adblock" out completely but ReinekeFux objected that users should see where these context menu items come from - and I think he is right. Guess "Block *********** with Adblock Plus" would do as well.

Well, they are working
I uploaded a single-language build for pt-BR (see http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/installation_localized.html), it should hit the mirrors in a few hours. However, it is too late to update the multilingual version. Thanks for translating. |

I've uploaded 0.6.1+, this was only to synchronize my CVS with WTS - no string changes there yet. Btw, how is it usually done - should I upload a current development build whenever I do some string changes or is it better to upload before an actual release when nothing will change any more?
A few languages are shown at 99% now despite of full translations - is it because some strings are same as for the English version? @asteko: I've updated the single-language build (http://adblockplus.mozdev.org/installation_localized.html, will be on the mirrors in a few hours). As to the multilingual download - this will have to wait until the next release. |

I uploaded what should become Adblock Plus 0.6.1.1 soon. Translation-wise there are only the following changes in global.properties:
extensions.{d10d0bf8-f5b5-c8b4-a8b2-2b9879e08c5d}.description - that's the localized description for the extension. Now "ads were yesterday" might be difficult or awkward to translate in some languages. For that reason I chose "Say 'no' to ads!" for the Russian translation - I think that can be used for other translations as well where the original phrase can't be used. status_disabled_tooltip - now advising to middle-click (that probably will be "click with the middle mouse button" in all languages except English) toolbar_active_tooltip and toolbar_disabled_tooltip - new strings for the toolbar button tooltip. toolbar_disabled_tooltip should usually be the same as status_disabled_tooltip. |

@Jacen: I think you should copy text from toolbar_disabled_tooltip into status_disabled_tooltip - other than that looks good, thanks.
