For those who have localised the changelog on my website I've added a bit more for the most recent version 0.7.1 (no new features, just a bug-fix).

CODE

<h4>0.7.1</h4>
<ul>
<li>bug-fix: ae doesn't stop processing when it comes to an email without attachments anymore</li>
<li>bug-fix: corrected a bug where if "don't replace" had been chosen as the filename generating strategy then if any file existed then an error would have occured.</li>
</ul>

Spanish translation for new content:

CODE
<h4>0.7.1</h4>
<ul>

Hello, as you may have noticed there is a new version of AttachmentExtractor available, version 0.7.2. Its only a minor release so I've only added a few new bits 'n bobs and fixed some bugs. Only one new string to localise.

For version 0.8 I've finally got automatic (on email receipt) extracting working but I haven't yet decided whether or not to add the functionality to the main Attachment Extractor extension or do it as a separate companion extension. What do you guys think?

Based on how I use Attachment Extractor, I think it should be a companion extension. Or at least you should have the option of turning it off. I sort the messages that I receive in different folders and only extract attachments from some of them. Automatic extraction of attachments from all messages would give me a potentially huge amount of files that I don't need.

About version 0.7.2: Shouldn't it be possible to alter the text removed from the subject and not limit it to RE: and FW:. I don't think that Thunderbird does it, but other mail clients used localized versions of the forward and reply additions.

Oh you would be able to turn it off definitely. And you can use tags to tell it whether to auto-extract or not. (Tags will need TB2). cool.gif But it would be whether or not its worth adding extra functionality to the main extension. To be honest its possible the only reason I'm thinking of doing it separately is for vanity - so I can be a developer of multiple extensions rather than just one unsure.gif

I was trying to find out where Thunderbird stores what should be removed when you reply, etc, but I couldn't find it (so I gave up ops.gif) I know there are more than the standard re and fw but I don't know what they are or whether or not I should just remove every XX: at the start of the subject. Are there some languages where its not two letters? Or should I just stick in a preference for it to be defined as an advanced preference?

Actually sometimes more than two letters are used. My version of Thunderbird (version 1.5.0.9 Danish) uses Fwd: when the message is being forwarded no matter if it is being forwarded as attachment or as part of the message.

Mine does too I've just noticed. How strange. In fact it actually does [Fwd: subject] on mine so that wouldn't be filtered at all because it doesn't start with it. I'm not sure exactly what the desired functionality would be now unsure.gif and I'm probably going to have to modify the description string you've just all localised rolleyes.gif

I have added Premier as translator for Japanese. @Premier: You can find it here.

Dutch translation for the addition on the changelog:
CODE
<h4>0.7.1</h4>
<ul>
</ul>

If you need the full changelog file just let me know. Cheerio.

I cannot express well in English.
It will apologize, if there is misunderstanding.

In WTS, the time and effort which rewrites locale code from ja-JP to ja occurs.
I think that Developer renewing expressly is extremely few.
This is not a good an idea for both Developer and Translator.
It is a simple, good method under the present situation to use WTC.
However, Translator cannot select WTC.
Therefore, I selected the method of attach the file to the topic for WTS.
Is this method a mistake?
I think that Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird, etc. have wise WTC which can be used at little cost for both Developer and Translator.

This was surprised.
Was my will disregarded?
Could you delete the registration of Translator that the update abandons the translation over a long period of time though is there if it does?

@ markh and Eviljeff

To clear things out (I hope)
Our friend Premier does not wish to use the WTS because our system in its current state does not recognize ja locale names (only set for ja-JP and all other four letter code).
The WTC (a more experimental version) recognizes it but this extension cannot be set in the WTC.

Now we think there is no problem if Premier wants to attach his contributions to a post (as we did in the early days of BabelZilla when there was no wts at all.)

@Premier
markh just thought you were some newcomer laugh.gif on BabelZilla and wanted to give a helping hand. I suggest we don't delete our registration so that you are automatically warned by a mail each time there is an update.
As stated above I have personally no objection if you prefer to attach a zipped file to a post.

For information, Fenian is testing just now a standalone version of the WTS with some improvements, among which I hope there will be recognition of double-letter locales smile.gif

Have a nice day all

I was fully aware of Premier's statements and my intentions were exactly as dear Goofy described it: so that you may be warned the moment an update is uploaded by the developer. rolleyes.gif
