Of course ptitLutin and I have sent messages to the usual french translators on the geckozone portal :
http://extensions.geckozone.org/TabbrowserPreferences/ and to Pierre who is the translator for Tabmix plus in case he can do it ... I hope someone will add the fr locale in a not-too-distant-future...

Ok, here is a french locale. This is a very nasty quickly-done locale, and as everything in files/strings was changed since last version I had to re-translate nearly everything, that means it will have to be intensively re-readed.
Could you please add it as quickly as possible ? because users are already complaining of parsing errors due to the removing of the french locale. Thanks.

Thanks! I'll try to get this out as rapidly as possible - unfortunately for both of us, this just missed the boat for 1.2.8.2.
EDIT: Sorry - I tried to cancel the UMO submission, but either I'm too dumb to figure it out or such functionality is not available. Adding this to a 1.2.8.3 point release will have to wait. The problem is that all french-speaking people using your extension are going to have an update, and after restarting a large grey bar with red text in the bottom of their Firefox... exactly like this
 (source). (caused by bug 258878) I don't know if it is a good idea to wait

@Calimo euh, il reste pas mal de fichiers en anglais dans ta locale... je sais que tu as dû faire vite, mais... tu n'aurais pas oublié des trucs dans l aprécipitation ? Ou bien c'est exprès, juste pour éviter le bug en urgence ? I attach here a french locale with some minor typos corrected (if it is not too late...)
I also removed the seemingly useless prefV folder (same content as "pref" folder, probably a previous version ?) [old attachment removed by goofy] -------------------- Think Global, Make Locales!

No, both folders are necessary - the pref/ folder is for the PrefWindowIV dialog used by TBP for Firefox 1.0.x, while the prefV/ folder is for the PrefWindowV dialog used by TBP for Firefox 1.5.x. They need to be separate because they will eventually diverge.

Thanks Goofy ! Now I understand why it was translated without localizing the "prefV" folder
 TheOneKEA, when do you think 1.2.8.3 will be out ? Because more and more people are really having this parsing error, and a lot of them don't know why and how to restaure their Firefox

New fr-FR locale with minor corrections. You can consider it as "definitive"... until next UI change
