I've just uploaded a new version of the add-on. I think I've done it correctly but please let me know if you spot any issues with your translations.

The one thing that will have changed is that some of the strings have been merged. I had used a little trick with special % entities in the DTD files in the hope that this would save you all some typing when the same words/phrases are used in multiple places. Unfortunately, Babelzilla does not appear to support this so some translations were broken. Everyone had their own idea how to deal with those special cases but to save confusion in future I have removed them entirely.

I have replaced the relevant entity strings with the same strings that you had already translated for them so I think there should be no problem but it would be great if you could check over the extension I've just added as version 0.9.1b on AMO:

Please let me know if you spot any problems with it.

I'll still release another version 0.9.2 in a week or two so don't worry if anything needs fixing or if you've not quite finished your translations.

I'll be removing the KeeFox_Main-Button.loading.key string from the next version. It's causing more problems than it solves. If some accessibility gurus can supply a workable and localisable solution I'll reconsider but for now lets just ignore that string.

Siggi0904: Can you explain what I need to do with regards the install.rdf file?

I sometimes find translations inside a file called "BZ_localized.txt" but don't understand why or how they get in there. If I see new translations in there I copy them into install.rdf.

For German, the translation appears to be in the install.rdf file already. Does it not work correctly when you load the extension into Firefox? Maybe this is something that has only been fixed in version 0.9.5b/0.9.5?

You did right. The file you mentioned is a virtual file composed of the various ‘parts of install.rdf’, which can be found in every locale. The contents can be copied into install.rdf. If the localized section for a specific locale is already in install.rdf, you don’t need to do anything. The downside of a virtual file is that when a new version is uploaded, the strings are not picked up from install.rdf for locales other than en-US, so it might appear to a translator that the strings have not been used.

I've fixed the Swedish locale, which, obviously not intentionally, had gotten long, weird strings for OK and Cancel buttons:

Hi banthaz,

I'm not sure why they would be different between the DTD and what is on Babelzilla but Mikael alerted me to some of these problem strings via email so I have fixed them all up (using a previous version of the DTD that had the correct translations in place).

I'll be uploading a new version with those fixed strings soon.

PS: The strings in that weird format should allow us to re-use common words and phrases without typing them out multiple times so I tried to do that for common things (like OK and Cancel) but then discovered that Babelzilla does not support this feature and removed them all. Quite how these old strings have got reverted to the messed up version I don't know but I assume it is a one off problem so let's not worry about it now :-)

Please merge it. Its 100% translated.

Please pay attention of "part of install.rdf" The strings are empty in the translateable strings.
In the 1.02 release package the german strings are inside of the install.rdf.

Please build a package to test the new strings.

You don’t need to pay attention to that, the ‘part of install.rdf’ is not parsed from install.rdf, it is a virtual file that looks for the en-US part only. If your locale bit is already in the file, there is no need to redo your work.
