Creator: Matthew Tuck Ext. Version: 3.0rc1pre Release date: 2010-12-31 Description: Persistent sticky notes for Firefox. Extension is compatible to: ( 3.0 - 4.0.*) Included locales: ca-AD da-DK de en-GB en-US es-ES fa-IR fr-FR gl-ES hr-HR hu it-IT ko nl pl pt-BR ro-RO ru sk-SK sl-SI sv-SE tr-TR uk-UA zh-CN View on WTS -- Download the extension TRANSLATORS: It is preferable that you also translate the Internote help file, though this is not essential. This is an online-only XML file that contains only localizable data (formatting and style is in a separate XSLT file). Once complete, you can upload the file onto this thread. The property HelpLocale in the WTS is used by Internote to link to this file, so make sure that if you haven't yet translated the help file for your locale, you set this property to a different locale that has a help file (e.g. en-US, en-GB). Please note the XML file should not be exported to XHTML. If you encounter any problems, feel free to ask for help. This post has been edited by CodeMachine: Dec 30 2010, 16:28 |

Hi, I've just made the pt-BR translation, and I noticed a few things:
- The extension description is not localized - I think that the mini tutorial should also be localized if possible - The space in the Positioning Options box is too small for the pt-BR translation, it should be a little larger Cheers. |

Hi, w e l c o m e on BabelZilla
In case you're looking for some specific translator, please see the list of the available translators on BabelZilla Selected that desired one, you may send him a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public) You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc In case you have some curiosities about the WTS, you may find here short and simple Questions&Answers about it! * * * I noticed there is already an existing Italian translator, may you please invite him here? Thanks And about the following request: QUOTE(Teboga @ Mar 9 2006, 01:42) - The extension description is not localized ...please read this-> Localize extension descriptions I hope it could be useful! This extension is very nice, I like it. So I contributed a little to a more complete localization In the attached file (* not for public use, dev only please) you will find @Tim 1. A localized "first welcome note" (see in .js file) 2. Various added localized strings from the .xul files 3. Localized initial description, see defaults/prefs.js file 4. transferred text.png and note.png into locale folders since these images were in fact english texts 5. added fr-FR (French) pt-BR (Brazilian Portuguese) and da-DK (Dane) locales @translators 1. New strings to translate in the prefs.dtd of your locale 2. New strings to translate in the new internote.properties file 3. two images that can be replaced by images with text in your language if you want (beware of the transparent background) @Luana The french translation was very approximative

hello,
Translation in French for the images "note" and "text ".png [GoofyEdit]THANKS efdur I asked my graphist friend because I had no image editor managing transparency (shame on me, I am unable to use Gimp properly I also told him to post it here the modified images, so that other translators may ask him to produce other images too. Just tell him precisely which text you need in you languages for "Note Color" and "Text Color".

Hi all!
Thank you all for your absolutely amazing response! I never expected this many translations and changes to be made so quickly! I'm working on integrating them all into my current development branch of Internote so they will all be in the next release - it's going to be awesome, if just because it's going to be completely internationalized (but I guarantee much, much more than that)! I love the work you guys have done to localize the initial note and the images (and the description)! Don't worry about the manager stuff yet, though, as that's still majorly in-development :-) Thank you all for your work, I'm going to go import it into Internote CVS and continue working on the new note manager and the moving of the notes to chrome. The next version should be out in a few weeks (this is a major new release)! Thanks, again! Tim P.S. Looking forward to future translations! P.P.S. If someone wants to pick a nice font that we can all use for the image-text, that'd be cool! :-) |

Tim,
I attach here the italian version of the "more localized Internote" made by Goofy (Old attachments have been removed) I have also fixed a few little oversights in the internote-manager.xul file and I have added the english string "Note Text:" in the other locale folder (only italian and french is translated)... I hope you will upload soon the unofficial version on WTS, I love to work with this useful tool @Goofy Thanks again for debugging my messages Bye bye This post has been edited by MatrixIsAllOver: Jun 24 2006, 16:05 -------------------- |

@Tim I have a very small suggestion. When we tested our "text-on-images" on the french side, it was not very satisfactory because the french text is a little longer than the english one and when we increased the width of the image, it changed nothing. So our images were not very readable. I gave a look at the code and tried this In the internote-contents.js on lines 154-155 you have CODE context.drawImage(stickyNoteHeader, 5.5, 10, 27, 6); context.drawImage(stickyTextHeader, 5.5, 28, 27, 6); It is better for reading to have : 27 -->57 context.drawImage(stickyNoteHeader, 5.5, 10, 57, 6); context.drawImage(stickyTextHeader, 5.5, 28, 57, 6); What do you think ? Your extension rocks, Tim, keep on doing the good job -------------------- Think Global, Make Locales!

Heh Goofy's note explains why my danish ones were so busted - I used the french ones for template...
The danish expressions will do with note => Notefarve text => Tekstfarve - if anyone's up to the task, anyway. -------------------- |

Hi all, again!
Thanks for more work, and a quick note: That's the width, I think. So we'll have to read the width and put it there... lemme see if I can do that. So yeah, I can... just replace those lines with this: CODE context.drawImage(stickyNoteHeader, 5.5, 10, stickyNoteHeader.width / 2, 6); context.drawImage(stickyTextHeader, 5.5, 28, stickyTextHeader.width / 2, 6); and things should look lots better! I will mention that I used a sans-serif font, so we might want to stick to that for consistency's sake. Thanks, all! Tim |

So, guys -
Here's a very very early version of Internote 2.0. I mainly put it up here just so we could all get on the same page with translations and such - hopefully this is going to work (I'm still new to this system, and it confuses me slighly - like, how do some of you have 102% of the strings translated?) and things like that. The notes should continue to load and save - don't install this if you care about your notes, though, as I can't be sure of anything - this is a major revision. If you do install it and have trouble - tell me, I'd love to hear about it! So... yeah... hopefully we can get everyone up to speed and everything happily translated while I continue work on the Manager, getting transparency back, and making the animations only work when they should! Thanks, again! Tim |

I think this is the reason of the 102 % ...
QUOTE("Pedro") I have also fixed a few little oversights in the internote-manager.xul file and I have added the english string "Note Text:" in the other locale folder (only italian and french is translated)... ... the string added is in mine and french locales but not in the extension IMHO there are two ways to solve this problem: 1)the translators can upload a prefs.dtd file without this change... but this means that this string will remain in english 2)you can upload the version that I have attached in mine previous message, but repackaged with all the locales I think the best solution is the second because the translations will be complete, but you have the last word in this decision -------------------- |

Hope this will not prevent you from getting them. - If I include any special character ("ñ", "á") in one of the strings of the properties file, the string does not work: or the extension description remains in English, or the welcome message is not showed, depending on the string where the special character is included. Fortunately they are only two strings and I have found alternative words in order to avoid special characters, but it is only a workaround and the problem is still there. - Internote Manager is always showed in English, but I noticed that same thing happened with the rest of languages. - There is a string still not localized in Internote Manager: PRINT NOTES Thanks urko |

QUOTE(urko @ Mar 12 2006, 06:34) if you choose second option please include new Spanish locale before uploading again the extension, I do not want to be unregistered again Sorry about that :-) I think I'll have a better handle on the next version... QUOTE(urko @ Mar 12 2006, 06:34) - I cannot download the locale from WTS (I can one by one, but not as a tar.gz file). Hope this will not prevent you from getting them. It seems that that is because of the images or something - the images (which should be localized) aren't downloading right (they come to me as blank or very small files). QUOTE(urko @ Mar 12 2006, 06:34) - If I include any special character ("ñ", "á") in one of the strings of the properties file, the string does not work: or the extension description remains in English, or the welcome message is not showed, depending on the string where the special character is included. Fortunately they are only two strings and I have found alternative words in order to avoid special characters, but it is only a workaround and the problem is still there. I think that if you write the Unicode character in there as something like \Uxxx, the character is displayed right. I'm not sure where you find out the codes, but rickcart (zh-CN translator) figured that one out... QUOTE - Internote Manager is always showed in English, but I noticed that same thing happened with the rest of languages. - There is a string still not localized in Internote Manager: PRINT NOTES You guys don't need to worry about the manager yet - I haven't even really begun work on it yet, so the strings will probably all change massively - in short, don't worry about that at all :-) Thanks, all, and TTYL! P.S. I'll take option two - it'll be up later today. |

You are right, png images downloaded from WTS seem empty. I attach here a zip file with both Spanish ones.
I do not know what it happens with properties file -I had already tried with /uxxx, but it did not work- but it is something I did wrong, other languages with special characters are OK. I will look further into it, but anyway with the current translation there is not any problem. EDIT: Old attached file removed |
