 Arabic Translation Missing After Update |

I just updated my Googlebar Lite extension here at BabelZilla. This new version includes a new Arabic translation. When I uploaded this latest version of this extension, the WTS showed the Arabic locale as not owned by anyone! It is also shown as 0% complete. The XPI that I uploaded does indeed contain the Arabic locale. To make a long story short, all of the changes to the Arabic locale have been lost (according to WTS), even though the XPI includes them.
Why doesn't WTS see it? Have I done something wrong? Thanks! Jonah |

Hi Jonah, can it be possible you uploaded the last xpi file containing the new locale folder, but not the related new line in the chrome manifest file (and in the install.rdf file, if any)? Or, other possibility, did the xpi file contain the new folder named with the short acronym? BTW, since these are only hypotheses, please wait for a tech answer meantime Tech Admins and WTS Developers will be looking for the origin of this situation! The XPI file does contain the new locale folder, and the install.rdf file includes it as a registered locale. I find it a little odd that the Arabic locale uses a two letter code (ar) instead of a four letter code like every other language (en-US, fr-FR, zh-TW, etc). Is it supposed to be like that? Or am I missing something?

Just a partial OT: "How to choose the regional locale code?" Has there been any progress made here? Also, should I switch to using a four-letter country code, or is the two letter code sufficient?

Our so lovely Tech Admin has just confirmed yesterday: using the long acronym the registration of the locale works fine.  So, may you please just rename the folder "ar" by using the four-letter country code, and obviously update also the related string(s) in in the install.rdf file (if any) and in the chrome.manifest file, then try again to upload the xpi file? Any idea what the ar locale maps to in four letters? In other words, the code will become ar-XX ... but what does XX become?
