Croatian locale has been released biggrin.gif

But I have just one remark.
In 'About' window, width of 'Locale' column isn't enough wide for my translation (see the picture below)

Hi again.
The translation is done.
Comments welcome on my first french translation on Babelzilla!
(I have worked on the 4.x french translation of Pegasus Mail)
It took me a while to be able to repack the xpi file correctly to be able to test though!
Do I need to upload the xpi here?
Only remark: the fr-FR line that appears in the translators list, in the "About" box, doesn't show my name but "Olivier Grange-Labat" instead.

Regards,
François

Thanks for taking up this locale, François! All you need to do is mark the translation as "Released" here at BabelZilla (assuming you are happy with all of the strings). I'm not quite sure how you do that (since I've never translated an extension), but I believe it's the same mechanism you used to go into "testing / QA" mode.

You don't need to upload anything. I will put out a new build of Googlebar Lite very soon with your locale, and I will change the credits appropriately. Thanks again!

Hi Jonah and thanks.
I'm not yet ready. Some strings need to be updated and revised.
Please wait until I flag the translation as "Released" until you put out a new build including the french locale.

Best,
François

Can you please tell me the meaning of this option?: "Use inline completion"
This would help me translate it, as I don't know what it's for.
Thanks!

Many things have been updated in the french translation.
Tonight I'll compile a new built with the updated translation and reinstall it in Firefox.
I'll use it for a few days and let you know when I flag it as released.

Regards,
François

The "inline autocomplete" feature is used in the search box. When it is enabled, as you type a search term, the best matching search term in your search history is automatically filled in. If you enable that option and try it out, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks.
And what's the difference with Enable auto-completion ?

Regards,
François

BTW, I downloaded the 4.4 release yesterday.
The about box still shows 4.3.1, and the french translator is still Olivier.

Nice day!

The "enable auto-completion" option disables or enables automatic completion entirely. So, when this option is disabled, typing in the search box does not show potential matches from previous search terms. If this option is disabled, the "inline completion" option is also disabled.

Where did you download version 4.4 from? I have not uploaded version 4.4 here at BabelZilla yet, so unless you got it at my website or over at addons.mozilla.org, you don't have the latest copy. The French localization was removed entirely in 4.4; I'm running it here and there is no mention of an fr-FR locale in the about box. The version is also shown as 4.4.

My Firefox is configured to automatically check for updates and also extensions update.
That's how I got 4.4.
It was on addons.mozilla.org I think.
I downloaded it again and will let you know tonight about the About box when I add the french translation to it.

Hi again.
I downloaded the 4.4 version again tonight from addons.mozilla.org.
When installed, it was showing as 4.3.1 in the extensions list, and also the About box.

I had to manually edit the following files to 4.4, which still had 4.3.1 in them:
(root of .xpi file): install.rdf

(in the content folder of googlebarlite.jar): about.dtd and about.xul

The latter also had the list of translators I think, and had "Olivier Grange-Labat" there for the fr-FR locale.
I changed it to my name, saved everything and reinstall the extension altogether.

Now it correctly shows as 4.4 in the extension list and the About box, and also shows my name for the translation.

I think there's definitely a problem with the 4.4 xpi on addons.mozilla.org!

I just marked the fr-FR locale as released.

Enjoy!
