NOTE: development of this extension stopped in about 2012, when Fennec was overhauled, rendering it incompatible. I don't know if I will develop it anymore. For the foreseeable future, you should not contribute to localizing this. Thanks.

Create/edit saved passwords in Firefox Mobile (Fennec)

Long:

This is the Mobile version of Saved Password Editor, which allows you to enter data into the Password Manager database instead of relying on Fennec to do it, as well as making changes to existing entries. Simply long-tap on a login form and select what you want to do regarding that form: "Save login info" to create a new entry, "Edit login info" to change an existing entry in the database, or "Delete login info" to get rid of an entry.

Some strings need to be clarified due to their ambiguity in Swedish when translated. I might have to alter the description text depending on your answers.

The button in question reveals/hides extra content in a dialog.

That is my guess too. It just that the Swedish translation becomes an oxymoron of sorts. But I guess I have to settle with that.

Not that it isn't oxymoronic in English. It's just a term someone came up with since (as I understand it) a "tap" is any touch with no motion across the screen, regardless of how long it lasts. (It might be related to "long-click" occasionally used on Macs.) An alternate term I've seen is "press and hold" (or "tap and hold"). Feel free to use such an alternate term if "long-tap" is too problematic in Swedish (or any other language). Or for that matter, feel free to tell me I should just use one of those terms to begin with.

What does "Submit prefix" mean?
And where can I see "chooseLogin.title". I tried to save two accounts for a login form, but I can't see a title in the dialogbox to select accounts.

If you're interested, there are desktop builds available. Look at the bottom of this page.

Unfortunately, the coming move to a native Android UI means that will soon no longer be an option, as it's not compatible with XUL add-ons. But that won't be until version 11, at least. The Android SDK includes an emulator, but that's a bit of a pain, since it takes some effort to set up. Then you have to wait months for the OS to boot, and it's just overall slow, not to mention it's a bit much downloading hundreds of MBs just for that. And installing add-ons locally is not easy. I hope someone comes up with an easier solution.

It's the beginning of the URL to which the form is submitted. That's as opposed to "host", which refers to the page on which the form resides. I'm going to add some clarifying comments for the next update.

It's part of a popup that shows up for editing and deleting only if you have more than one login saved for that form, so you can choose which one you want to operate on.

I guess that explains it. Don't know why the desktop builds use different styles from the Android builds by default. But I've overridden the colors, so there shouldn't be a problem. I'll try to test it in the near-future.
