Hi all!

First, thanks all for updating the QLS after the WTS crash. I would actually dare to say it was a good thing, cause now all localizations where updated by you all once again wink.gif

Just a small update, coincidentally only a week after the WTS crash smile.gif Just 2 new lines this time.

@Haebaru, I always forget at least 1 thing when I upload updates here, this time it was adding your new ja-JP contribution to the install.rdf. Don't worry, it will be in the release! Finally a Japanese QLS again! (Funny fact: You are the 4th official Japanese translator!)

Speaking for myself, the good thing was that you updated QLS again so i had to update the translation too, otherwise it would be queued along with 17 more extensions smile.gif

Could anyone of the admins delete the record Quick Locale Switcher for locale "eo" (not eo-EO!)? I erroneously created two records when I started translating QLS into Esperanto, one for locale "eo" and one for locale "eo-EO". Now the locale eo-EO has been fully translated and the locale "eo" is superfluous.

Thanks

mmmh are you sure? It seems "eo" is so to say the officlal langcode for esperanto http://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central/
Please tell us why you wish to have eo-EO (remember in xx-YY langcode "YY" stands for the place/region/country whre xx language is spoken. Now there is no "special place" where esperanto is spoken, there is no EO country.

Yes, of course, you are right. I made any mistake (or thought I made a mistake) when creating the locale for my translations. The translation should be moved to the eo locale. I don't know now if the locale eo-EO is mentioned in any content files, changing the text of the locale files won't be a problem. By the way, esperantists call their community "Esperantujo", country of esperantists". In this respect EO could be used.

milupo

Yes, in content files and in qls.css the locale eo-EO is mentioned as well. I must contact Captain Caveman first so that he changes the locale to "eo".

I translated QLS to dsb, hsb and eo. But the status is still "in progress". Who must set the status? The author of the add-on or its translator?

The translator changes the status, but the system resets it to ‘in progress’ when there is an update and the developer does not untick the ‘reset status’ box.

Thank you for your quick anwer. I know that status is reset to "in progress" after an update. But the next status to be used is "released". But "released" means for me that the add-on has been released and this the author of the add-on has to do. I translate on Metawiki as well, e.g. central notices, there is a status "ready" (alternatively mentioned "done"). This is a signal to responsible users to publish them. This status "ready" is missing here in WTS. I become aware of that when I got a message from Babelzilla and was asked to finish my translations. I wrote to Captain Caveman and stated that he orientated by the status that was still on "in progress". Now he is aware of it.

I suppose it’s a matter of semantics then, in our case ‘released’ reflects the status of the locale, not the add-on. The translator releases it for inclusion into the add-on.

Well, now I've set all my locales to "released" because they all are fully translated now.

You're welcome smile.gif I just registered you with full permission for ca-AD

And btw if you wish toi convert ca-AD to ca only (as it is Mozilla regular codename for Catalan), just follow these instructions http://babelwiki.babelzilla.org/index.php?...y_language_code
(drop a simple line of request in a PM to Fenian to access the conversion tool)

Swedish locale (sv-SE) updated and released.

Suggestion: Turn the list of locales into a table.

I have changed the locale list entries' look to make them easier to read. But to make the list readable for everyone (incl. me), I suggest you should change it to a table format with columns for:

locale | language | region | alphabet/lettering; or something like that.

The reason is that it is hard to read a list where the entries are pretty "dense" and vary in length as much as they do here. A table would serve as a tab separated list view, making the task of finding the locale you are looking for a lot easier. I have a disability that makes lists like this one to clutter up.

delete "lt-LT" use "lt".
why not "lt-LT":
1. Lithuania has only 1 official language.
2. Mozilla moved to such format
3. "lt" has active maintainer:)
