Dutch locale has been released. One remark though: the option-window is just a bit too small for the items in the first tab, so part of the button and part of the first question falls off. Please see attached.

Its because i have to fix the window size due to a bug in how Thunderbird handles tabbed-panes in windows. (i.e. it only calculates the best size for the first tab you see, not any others, and doesn't resize when you go to the next tab). It didn't really occur to me different locales may have longer text-strings. How much larger should the window be?

Just a tiny little bit! What you see is about the complete text (just look at the button), so I'm guessing 10-15 pixels should do it. rolleyes.gif

I've just (finally!) uploaded version 0.6.7 on my website and updated the rdf so feel free to update it in Thunderbird. See changelog on my website for details on new features, etc.

If chuzo wants to send me the spanish translation for the changelog and have a quick check for changes on the main page (I reworded the privacy policy a little but i think thats about it). Oh and if anyone else wants to translate the website pages for the extension then let me know and i can send you the pages (without all the rest of the website php code).

Danish locale is in testing, but I have yet another issue with the settings window.

The window is not tall enough to fully contain the four boxes. The attached image shows how the window looks with the Danish locale, but with the standard locale it looks the same.

Actually it is not the only issue with windows of incorrect size that has started to pop up on my install (both default and non-default themes), so despite it having looked fine previously it is probably not Attachment Extractor that is the cause of this.

During testing I have stumbled across another issue.

Earlier today I recieved an email with 24 attachments (I know those are rare) and after letting Attachment Extractor run for several minutes it is still showing the small window with the message that it is working and asking the user to wait.

It would appear that emails with 24 attachments aren't that rare after all since I received another one today.

Attachment Extractor had no problems at all with this new email, so the problem is probably not related to the number of attachments. Since the email that caused the problem didn't cause any strange behaviour in my mail client I have no idea that all what happened. Furthermore I can't find that email any longer so this will probably have to be filed under unsolved cases.

da-DK locale updated, tested, and released.

I think the problem is the option to save embedded images, somehow it manages to set the view content option to nothing at all which causes a lot of things to fail. Just selecting a proper setting does not make it start working again, Thunderbird has to be restarted before it works again.

the saving embedded image option has always been buggy since i implemented it. Ever since its been on my to do list but its the kind of problem which effects few people and is hard to replicate.

Any time AttachmentExtractor fails there will very likely be an error in JavaScript Console which I'd be interested to know in every case.

Hi,
I am a Newbie to BabelZilla and to Attachment Extractor as well...
I completed the german translation (de-DE) on the WTC

what's next ? rolleyes.gif

and another question:
since there was already a german translation delivered with the 0.6.7 Version,
why did everything appear in english after I installed it in my german thunderbird (1.5.0.7) ??
Is there a hint to switch the language (after installation) ?

smile.gif Welcome on babelZilla!

1. I suggest you should send a PM to the German Team to check your translation before release.
2. If you want to see you interface in German, follow these steps

Again Attachment Extractor failed to run to run properly but this time I managed to get the error messages from the JavaScript console. I found two error message in the console but I don't know whether both are relevant so I included them both.

The reason is the german locale (translation) included with the 0.6.7 version is an old incomplete one. The locale isn't listed in the manifest file (the list of locales that the extension supports) because otherwise it would break your Thunderbird, but the files are still there because I forgot to remove them.

I've looked at the errors but I don't know why they would ever occur. The next version is basically a complete rewrite of the way AttachmentExtractor hooks into Thunderbird so that particular error shouldn't happen any more.
