Hi AddonFox developer guys,
I just wrote to you using your web form, but since it's a BabelZilla matter, I'll make an entry of the issue here too. I can't find anything faulty with my translation of AddonFox into Swedish. However, that doesn't say much. I am basically at a foetus' level when it comes to programming. Anyway the translation seems to work in the sense that when I open the Configuration Wizard, my translation doesn't block the add-on, and the Swedish text along with our special characters is able to be displayed correctly. But after the first category (Customization) and the same category's first two selectable add-ons, AddonFox doesn't display any other categories or add-ons. It looks like this (the images are ordered in the same way as the panes in the ConfigWiz; 1. category view, 2. add-ons view, 3. installation view). Click the thumbnails to see the images in full view: ![]() ![]() ![]() When I changed the locale settings for Firefox and enabled the use of the en-US locale for AddonFox (i.e. English text), I got all categories displayed (as in the English only version; no images, I guess you know what it looks like Could you take a look at that? I am stumped, as the eunuchs say. The sv-SE files are available here. /Lakrits (whose programming experience ended with 10 PRINT "LAKRITS" 20 GOTO BED SLEEP) -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

@Lakrits
You should use in the .dtd file (line 7) CODE ' instead ' and in the .properties file \' (line 47).-------------------- Teo

@Lakrits You should use in the .dtd file (line 7) CODE ' instead ' and in the .properties file \' (line 47).Thanks! But the same problem still occurs. I even got rid of all possible disruptive characters I could find, but to no avail. -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

I tested sv-SE locale, and all working properly. Try attached files. Well, it works with the downloadable version on BabelZilla (1.0.4), but not with the version available from AMO (1.1.2). So the problem remains. It's good to know, though, that the text itself works and shouldn't be the root of the problem. I'll make a comparison between the two en-US locale versions and see if there are new strings in 1.1.2. If so, the creators should update the files on BabelZilla. EDIT: Yep, there were some changes. I'll try the mended locale files as soon as I have finished translating them. EDIT: That was it. Das also war des Pudels Kern! as Faust said. I tried to put gauges from a Volvo 140 into a Volvo S40, so to speak. But, for all that is sacred, update all the add-on language files that are available on BabelZilla if you want anyone to translate them for you. -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

Here we should discuss about version which is in the WTS. You don't inform about version number. That's right. The problem was that I assumed that the language files in BabelZilla were up-to-date, which they weren't. Many add-ons DL'ed from BabelZilla have relative version numbers based on the position it has in the upload series. Luckily, AddonFox had the version number in the file name, which eventually led me right. I am, like many translators, not skilled in programming. Hence, I can't always figure out what is wrong, even if it like in this case is a very basic problem. Neither can I rectify any faulty text to suit the code language. I am therefore dependant on the add-on author to upload new material. If nothing else, the function of BabelZilla becomes redundant if translators are supposed to extract and adjust new language files from packed end product add-ons. Well, that is water under the bridge as far as I am concerned. I know how to extract files, and since I will never trust that AMO or BabelZilla holds the current files, I'll probably go to the author's website from here on. Ad fontes. -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

Dutch locale updated, tested and released
I noticed an unlocalized string: ‘Contact Us’. Also note that chrome.manifest declares the nl locale to be in the fr locale folder, so please change that -------------------- |

Dutch locale updated, tested and released The same goes for the Swedish locale files. If, by any chance, the locale files for 1.1.3 have been previously downloaded, throw them away and download these. I mended two strings that didn't work properly in the Update dialogue. -------------------- "[…] och han talar med bönder på böndernas sätt

Swedish locale updated. Minor revision to addonfox.properties that took care of an eluding English word. It is now duly translated and sent to the conjunctions' heaven.

@YotamElal: I noticed that AddonFox is updated, but it contains some new and already existing (see above) unlocalized fields. Do you plan to make these localizable? It’s kinda strange to have two languages on screen
I updated one string by the way. -------------------- |
