In qnsettings.dtd, there's the strings qnsettings.note5 and qnsettings.note6 which appear in the drop down menu as (inactive) destination options but the extension allows only 4 note tabs, is there some reason for that?

Another thing, the qnsettings.showinFxButton.label string is not visible in the preferences dialogue in Nightly (it's not visible in thunderbird either but I guess it's better to miss it in thunderbird anyway...).

The situation in Thunderbird is a little bit confusing though:
1) The quicknote.open.settings string appears under the tools menu on it's own - I would suggest either to loose it as a feature or change the wording to "QuickNote Settings..." instead of plain "Settings..."
2)The only available option to display QN is in a floating window. Perhaps a side bar would be too much for Thunderbird, but since tabs are supported, it would be great if we could have it on a tab as well.
Specially for gnome 3 users, floating windows can be a PIA

Testing Spanish es-MX locale (Firefox 10), however there are some issues:

1. the save button is not longer displayed greyed (inactive) when there are anything to save. Is always displayed as "normal", so I'm not be able to test if save on Xnt characters is working or not (I liked the old behavior, when this button was able to change his status)...
2. I can't find where the string "Click open/close QuickNote, right click open menu" should be displayed (the QuickNote button/launcher tooltip only shown "QuickNote")
3. when I want to open the help, the QuickNote's floating window is closed
4. the help page opens in background
5. the note's tabs are displaying as this: "Nota %S &1" (access key under % symbol).
6. OK, right click over note tab, rename, cancel >> the tab title is still changed, to this: "Nota %S 1" (the & character is gone, access key under 1 [number])
7. info about what's "dependent mode" is meaning will be useful to the end user (I known what that is meaning as result of my tests)
8. when the QuickNote's floating window remains open, but the main application window, and then try to open help page (or Official Page from about dialog), a popup window opens, in order to select the browser to open that page. If the firefox executable is requested (browsing for executable), and because the QuickNote window is closed trying to open the help, then Firefox opens with another wrong profile (in my test opened Firefox 10 executable with Firefox 3 default profile, very weird)

When you changed text, around this button is displayed outline.

I can't reproduce this behavior. IMHO opening help file and home page working OK.

You are not right. In the last published version was displayed both (grey, and blue) buttons. Grey was for Save note and blue for Save As.

This is tooltip for statusbar icon which can be displayed in the Firefox 3.6. In Firefox 4 and above you can move toolbar icon to add-on bar (if you want display this bar).
