Here is the new german (de) translation of the descriptions:

Short:

Long:

I've just uploaded the new version to AMO. I'm still missing new description translations for fr, he, hu-HU, sr, and uk-UA. Those responsible for those locales, please post or send me those translations. Also, please let me know if I missed any. Thanks.

Another version uploaded on AMO, with the "'t' always activates editing" bug fixed. Now you can actually type "t" in tags. rolleyes.gif Awaiting review.

Just want to let everyone know that in addition to the greatly expanded strings in the add-on itself, I have also added some other stuff for you to translate, just as with Saved Password Editor. You can find all of it in post #28 below.

If you are unable or unwilling to translate all of that right now, please at least do the short description. This gets included with the extension itself, and in order to change the copy in the extension, I have to submit a new version and wait several days for it to get reviewed; therefore it's best if it's translated now rather than later. The rest is hosted online only and is easy for me to change, so any time you submit your translation to me after I submit version 2.0, I can get your translation up fairly quickly.

Hebrew (he) locale has been released in WTS.

Short version
QUOTE

Long version
QUOTE

Other things to translate for Addons site

(This stuff used to be in the first post, but I got tired of fighting with the WTS, which overwrites the first post every time I update. So now, it's safely tucked away down here.)

Note: whenever you see things such as hyperlinks, bold phrases, bulleted lists, etc., please try to indicate somehow where these occur in the translated text, so I don't have to guess. Thanks.

Important stuff—please translate in order before considering the rest

Brief—included in installed package, appears in most places the add-on is listed:
QUOTE
Adds metadata and sortable tags to the password manager.

Long—appears in "About this Add-on" section on AMO listing page:
QUOTE
This extension adds a "Tags" column in the password manager. You may specify an arbitrary comma-separated list of tags for any password by double-clicking the appropriate cell in the Tags column (or by selecting "Edit tags" in the context menu or by pressing "t" while the row is focused) and typing it in. You can also sort and search the passwords by tags.

You can also add arbitrary text in the form of "metadata fields" by selecting "Edit metadata" in the context menu or pressing "m" while the row is focused.

Additionally, if you enable the appropriate option, you can get a context submenu for login forms that shows each username with its associated tags and allows you to fill the form by selecting one.

Password Tags now supports Firefox/SeaMonkey Sync, subject to your opting in (see the checkbox in the general preferences/options).

Privacy policy:
QUOTE
In certain cases Password Tags can, with your consent, use Mozilla's Sync service (also known as "Firefox Sync" and "SeaMonkey Sync") to synchronize your tags and metadata between multiple Firefox or SeaMonkey profiles, including profiles on separate computers. This Privacy Policy describes the collection and transmission of your personal data by Password Tags.

What data is collected?

Any data you enter in the form of "tags" and "metadata" is collected by Password Tags and stored locally alongside the saved password data with which they are associated, in the file signons.sqlite in your profile. Beginning with version 2.1, Password Tags will, at your option, encrypt the metadata (but not the tags) using the same encryption Firefox and Seamonkey use for encrypting your passwords.

For the sole purpose of maintaining proper associations with saved passwords, each metadata record also contains copies of the following from the associated saved password record:
  • The randomly-generated globally-unique identifier ("GUID"). This has no meaning on its own and does not reveal anything about your usernames and passwords.
  • The site identifiers, including the hostname of the web site or other service.
  • The username, encoded with a "one-way hash function" that makes it difficult to determine the actual username from casual inspection. Note, however, that with access to the database, the username could be guessed and the guesses verified using the hash value, with a variable amount of effort depending on how much information an attacker has about you. This does not apply to the data as stored in Sync (see "What data is transmitted and how?" below), as that is additionally encrypted. Also, as of version 2.1, the hashes are "salted" (i.e. random data is added before hashing) to prevent knowledge of a username for one site from allowing an attacker to immediately determine that the same username is being used on other sites.
  • The passwords are not stored in any form in metadata records, nor is any other data collected.

The risk of your usernames being revealed depends largely on how you handle the database file (for instance, storing it online without additional encryption would present a high risk). And as always, the risk of your passwords being revealed depends on selection of good passwords; for instance, you should never choose passwords that can easily be guessed based on your other personal information.

What data is transmitted and how?

Password Tags does not transmit any data online without your express consent. Should you choose to give such consent, by checking the box labeled "Use Sync service to synchronize your metadata" in the add-on preferences/options, Password Tags in that profile will store online and keep up-to-date a copy of all of the data collected as described in the above section, for the sole purpose of synchronizing it between the Firefox or SeaMonkey profiles you connect to your Sync account. The data is stored by using the Sync service, which applies strong end-to-end encryption such that only those Firefox or SeaMonkey profiles connected to that Sync account can read the data.

Password Tags does not transmit any other data at any time, through any channel, or in any form. You may tell Password Tags in a given Firefox or SeaMonkey profile to stop sending your data at any time by unchecking the "Use Sync service to synchronize your metadata" checkbox, or by disconnecting that profile from your Sync account.

PL translation updated.

Other things to translate for Addons site

Brief—included in installed package, appears in most places the add-on is listed:
QUOTE
Dodaje metadane oraz możliwość sortowania znaczników do menadżera haseł.

Long—appears in "About this Add-on" section on AMO listing page:

QUOTE
To rozszerzenie dodaje w menadżerze haseł kolumnę znaczników.
