I only found out about this place a few hours ago and I'm planning on releasing version 1 of this extension tomorrow (Saturday) which I guess is short notice, but of course any localisations you guys can come up with after the release will be added as updates.

Just to note, the extension includes some help pages which some of the locales havent got translated because I understand thats a lot of work.

Also the de-DE locale is not complete, maybe I should have removed it before submission, but its from an older version and so requires a few extra strings and access keys setting.

I've also just received the ru-RU localisation for this.

smile.gif hello and welcome here !
For some reason, the submission process seemingly failed : we can download your extension, but it is impossible to reach the locales on the wts page.
Would you please try submitting again and report if any message appears during submission.
Thank you very much.

This is what the page says on upload:

Uploading TabSidebar.xpi OK
Extracting TabSidebar.xpi OK
Parsing install.rdf OK
Updatecheck Previous version found
Backup of previous version OK
Scanning for existing locales FAILED
Looking for locales inside chrome.manifest OK
Extracting .jar FAILED
Adding to WTS OK
Adding locale files to WTS OK
Updating support topic OK
Sending notification mails OK

Possibly this is because I don't use a jar file to hold the chrome in my extension?

sad.gif Very sorry, thanks for trying.
Just another suggestion or two :
- as you mention, maybe you should try to build a .jar internal file
- I know your locales are correctly mentionnned in the chrome.manifest, but maybe you should try to add the locale lines in the install.rdf too, just in case the wts "recognizes" them correctly in this case.

I would understand if you wish not try again, in which case :
1. Our tech admin will have a look at the problem here (which I am not able to underastand nor solve)
2. Translators will just add their zipped locales to their replying posts here below, after having downloaded it.

- Sorry for the inconvenience

Ok, looks like changing the extension to use a jar file allowed the upload to work properly, generally I dont intend to use jar files within my extensions though.

Hi Mossop biggrin.gif
Thanks to be here
You have been really so fast, and while I was writing some ulterior information after your answer, you had already inserted the extension !
So, sorry for my delay ops.gif

@Translators:
The locales of the extension 'Tab Sidebar' contain a sub-folder called help, in which you will find xhtml files and other not compatible formats of file
Please note that you can't translate directly in the WTS these files, so you need before to translate them off-line and after to upload them

Thanks in advance for the collaborating and sorry for the disturbance

Hi Mossop
I will take on Spanish locale. Do you have any deadline for the translations?

Unfortunatly due to time constraints I have to get a first release done and submitted to AMO by the end of today (about 8 hours or so from now). But I will certainly be adding any localisations I get after that point as minor updates to the extension.

Thanks in advance for your work.

Mossop

Hi Mossop

I found some problems when testing with one of the xhtlm files (using.xhltm), but at last they are solved - to be completely sure I tested the extension with both versions of the xpi file (with and without the jar file).
So Spanish locale is released and available in WTS

Note to the rest of translators:
since I found these problems when uploading and then downloading using.xhtml file from WTS (you can see this thread), just to be on the safe side, could you test your own translated files after uploaded and then downloaded from WTS, in order to check if it was a problem only in my locale?
Thanks

urko

Please note that I am no longer accepting translations for this extension, please do not add anymore. And if any of the admin team sees this please remove this extension since there doesn't appear to be a way for me to do this myself.
