And here you can find the de-DE version

Google Mail Notifier

It's the same extension, but it's renamed to avoid problems with the trademark in germany wink.gif

I like using MUA for mail :-)

How to use Gmail pop and smtp features

With Firefox (for example)
- Go to your Gmail account
- Click on Settings
- Select Forwarding and POP
- In POP Download section, choose Enable POP for all mail

In Thunderbird
- create a POP account with:
email address: your full Gmail address (i.e. victory@gmail.com)
Server Name: pop.gmail.com
User Name: your full Gmail address (i.e. victory@gmail.com)
- In Server Settings options, choose Use secure connection (SLL)

If you want to use Gmail SMTP, in Outgoing Server (SMTP) options:
Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
User Name: your full Gmail address (i.e. victory@gmail.com)
Use secure connection: TLS

Hi Doron!

Nice to see you here. smile.gif

For your records:
I'll post a revised de-DE locale for GM 0.5.1 tomorrow (containing a few corrections and some minor changes), but I want to clarify those with the original translator first (fellow member of erweiterungen.de).

I'm impressed to see that you even accounted for the name change we had to apply to the German version due to the excessive legal issues back here (even Google renamed it's own notifier, so we thought this woud be the best to avoid any hassle).

One question though: Inside the info popup of the notification icon, there still seems to be a string which eludes translation ("Inbox"). I wasn't able to find out where this entry stems from. Is there any chance to turn this localizable, too? (Not a big thing, but would be nice for completeness, anyway.)

Regards, Oliver

It's a Korean locale (ko-KR) for 0.5.1.

Well, took some time, unfortunately, but now here's the slightly revised German locale (with regards from Hendrik wink.gif).

Realized that it was my misperception concerning this naming stuff mentioned above, but never mind....

Yet, one thing I realized while testing with Mozilla Suite:
Apparently, the implemented uninstalll feature doesn't work. And as gmn either doesn't appear inside the Uninstaller extension, there's currently no easy way of uninstalling it again... mellow.gif
