That was excactly the one thing I was afraid of, cause I know "nothing" about charsets/codepages...

I have change it now so you can try, but, does windows-1250 work on all WTS translations/languages? I thought (but who am I...) that just setting it to UTF-8 was good for all, not correct?

EDIT: Does not appear to work, any suggestions please?
EDIT2: Wait, I also need to read the properties files with that enoding of course...

Pffff... I think it works now, learned quite a bit about escaped unicode, and that on a sunday evening!

Could you all try to see if it does actually work ok, cause if something look alright to me, in does not mean that it is alright smile.gif

Ps. SlovakSoft, the WSPRo webpage only "looks" at the general.useragent.locale setting to determine which language to show, might that have caused the problem? For testing you can also just open http://websearchpro.captaincaveman.nl/?locale=sk-SK in your browser.
Ps2. The webpage's locale setting is saved in a session variable, meaning that you need to restart/wait 1 hour if you want to switch...

ops.gif you're absolutely right Chuzo...

I'm sorry for all this everyone! I have been developing and testing WSPro for about 2 months, and now I tried to add this feature in 10 minutes... I should have tested it all more thoroughly before handing it over to you all. I am now quite convinced that it is now really finished, and ready to get localized.

Hope you all still like my work, and enjoy localizing it!

Cheers!

Small update with mostly bugfixes.

3 new lines to translate, 2 for hiding the new "Search" button, and 1 for clearing the search history (context menu of the search boxes).

Thanks all!

Italian localization has been updated and set as Released happy.gif
It may be grabbed as usual from the WTS

ADDED:
Well, probably this is a stupid request, but I noticed that in this moment the server is down tongue.gif

The server at websearchpro.captaincaveman.nl is currently down.
Please note that you are looking at the Web Search Pro backup page, searching and suggesting Search Engines is currently not possible.

I will be back online as soon as possible, sorry for the inconvenience.

Could it be possible the localization of the above sentence too? rolleyes.gif

Back from a small but nice holiday smile.gif

The server down page is on my ISP's free homepage server, and only plain html is supported. Also there's not a whole lot of space available, so I think I'll just leave it in English... For now...

Translator for Chinese (zh-CN / Simplified)

I have localized it into "Chinese Simplified" and released now.
But during the course of testing it,I have found that there are unrecognizable codes within the searching results.
So is it the problem of not supporting unicode characters like GB2312 which is used by China?

Hi fang5566,
thanks for the localization, you might want to open up a new topic in the general help section on the encoding question. I for one, don't know the answer to it, sorry...

Just a small, but important, update. you do not need to translate it right now, cause there's a bigger update coming in a week or 2.

I thought MatrixIsAllOver just happened to see the "server down" page, but when I was at work again today I saw I got it too, very often... It was a small bug...

ps. With "you do not need to translate it right now" I mean that I am going to upload it to mozilla in half an hour.

The next big update is here, I think I'm now ready to take on the new Web Search that will be in Firefox 2.0 tongue.gif

Biggest new addition is way the search engine menus are shown, new styles for this are grouped and list, check out some screenshots on my forum if you like.

There are about 19 new lines to translate for you all, if you have any questions about their meanings, just ask.

Important notes!

1. Goofy (fr-FR), Fenian/ReinekeFux (de-DE), Seabow (ja-JP), batuhancetin/ErkanKaplan (tr-TR),
I have uploaded this version over the last incomplete one in the WTS, please note that wspro.settings.general.search.droptextanywhere is now in en-US.

2. There are still a couple of translations that have texts like (freely translated) "Search for Movies and Music", these are still from the time when it was called "Movies and Music Search" (untill version 1.56), could you please update them to something like "Web Search Pro"?

Disclaimer:
Goofy Mistakes (Open Source) are very well possible, and almost inevitable. Please know that I will fix them as soon as possible if you just let me know wink.gif

QUOTE
Is it normal?

Please define normal?

No serious, it is a temporary lame fix to the problem that NoScript sort of breaks my extension a bit. (The page with all the search engines is a normal website, that uses javascript. To select a search engine, javascript must be enabled for captaincaveman.nl).

I have already sent the author of NoScript an e-mail to hopefully come to a decent sollution together, otherwise I will fix it myself in a different way in version 2.2 (this one in a week). Whatever the result may be, this message will most likely go away, or if I can't fix it I will make it translatable.

For now, just leave it in English, it's just a quickfix that saves me about 10 e-mails a day.

EDIT; Should already be a lot better/less visible now (if you do not block javascript)
