QUOTE(MorZilla @ Oct 7 2005, 16:45) es-AR locale now: Hi MorZilla thanks for files but I found some problem: - The editor.dtd inside zip is broken, it is zero byte length - The settings.dtd contains contains strings with three exclamation points (no really problem I can remove them) Note: When I add new messages to VSW I copy the english version in every localization prefixing any new string with three exclamation points. This is due to speedup translators work when they must find where are new messages. thanks in advance, -------------------- |

QUOTE(MorZilla @ Oct 13 2005, 17:06) After a looong time, the locale has been updated: Now all is good, I've only one question: I saw that previous version contains strings with HTML entities like Usar en vez del item de Ver c& #243;digo fuente now the HTML entities are disappeared. Is this correct? Thanks in advance -------------------- |

Dafi. When I did the first translations, I had not a UTF-8 text editor, so I used entities.
Now I downloaded Notepad2, and I can simply replace the entity with the extended character and save the file with UTF-8 encoding. This is OK! -------------------- Boca means Passion

What's new on VSW 0.0.7.8 (maybe 0.0.8)
Now you can open server side page sources together with HTML visibile on browser. Developers like me should appreciate this feature. Suppose you are a PHP/JSP/ASP developer, when you request the page index.php/jsp/asp from web server the browser shows the content produced by server side engine. If you want to edit the page source you must go to your local directory and open the source page by hand. Now you can do this directly from VSW. -------------------- |

*Message for Batuhan:
I've found problem with turkish localization. When I try to open settings dialog I receive error on entity file chrome://viewsourcewith/locale/settings.dtd I've tried to recall directly the other entity files but all generate error. To test turkish I've used the great Captain Caveman's quick locale switcher (QLS). All other localizations work fine with QLS. PS Tested under FF1.5 and FF1.0.7 -------------------- |

ok, I have big problem
I've just downloaded WSW and parser said (when I open option dialog) that label urlmapper.tab.label is not defined in settings.xul but I can't see this label, so what's going on? Yes, some labels are empty in BabelZilla but in files in locales all are filled, so? The same effect at my main profile, so currently this extension is broken for polish users - I suppose I need help -------------------- Damian Szczepanik

Yes, some labels are empty in BabelZilla but in files in locales all are filled, so? The same effect at my main profile, so currently this extension is broken for polish users - I suppose I need help This is correct but requires some explanation. When I upload a new version on WTS I remove all new strings that need to be localized so on WTS is simple to see empty strings. Take a look at file urlmapper.dtd in polish, this file doesn't exist on ViewSourceWith.xpi but under WTS appears with all strings empty. Translator has a visual feedback and sees urlmapper.dtd contains strings to translate. If you download the urlmapper.dtd you discover that WTS fills all empty strings with english messages. To test the extension you must merge what arrives from WTS with XPI file. I knows this is almost complicated so I attach here an xpi with all strings to localize in english but prefixed with three exclamation points so you can find easily where are the messages to translate searching inside files the string CODE !!! I hope this explain because the xpi presents on BZ doesn't contain all strings. Obviously when I release the version I replace all missing strings with the english one so users (eg polish, russian users) can continue to use VSW. But they see some messages in polish and other in english an ugly result but that allows to continue to use VSW. The version 0.0.7.8 downloadable from UMO or from dafizilla contains for polish and russian locale a ugly language mix but it work (the most important thing) This is the file with polish/english mix remember every english string inside the polish locale directory is prefixed with three exlamation points.

QUOTE(damian @ Jan 6 2006, 23:44) ok, I fixed this problem, uffff I've some idea how to simplify translators work. I use a debug version that simplify modify code and locales if you are interested I can unveil my secrets to you QUOTE(damian @ Jan 6 2006, 23:44) I got little suggest about order of columns - see at screenshot, it's nice, if order is the same at each tab, it's little change but much more user-friendly when you switch often You are right, I have swapped columns I hate to program GUIs, I think VSW GUI has many things to adjust but I prefer to concentrate to primary goal i.e. view (and edit) source code. thank you for your beta testing davide -------------------- |
