Hi Andy,
Here is translation for pl-PL and some remarks about extension:
Vbox for zone picker have parameter flex="1" its OK when foxclocks.zonepicker.description is long. When is short all names zones are invisible. Solution is insert in line 42 in foxclocks.xul file parameter 'minwidth'. Something like
CODE
<vbox flex="1" minwidth="235">
This value 235 is checked by me, and I think, will be good enough for many languages. My changes are in included file.
Please tell me about your accept or no. It's important for my translation. In the included pl-PL folder string foxclocks.zonepicker.description is short. If you don't accept my changes I have to change this string to longest.

I have had the same problem but I have solved it adding some space. It's less professional than teo's solution but it has worked! tongue.gif

@ azzer
Please let me know If you agree with teo's opinion... I will have to delete some space user posted image

Wow. That was hard work. Ok, I've fixed that issue. Thanks teo: I've used
CODE
<vbox flex="1" style="min-width:25em;">

rather than a pixel-based width. I also added a splitter between the 'Zone Picker' tree column headers:
CODE
<treecols>
    <treecol id="Needthisoritgoeswrong1" flex="1" label="&foxclocks.zonepicker.col.timezone.label;" primary="true" persist="width"/>
    <splitter class="tree-splitter"/>
    <treecol id="Needthisoritgoeswrong2" flex="1" label="&foxclocks.zonepicker.col.offset.label;" persist="width"/>
</treecols>

And it's important to have
CODE
<description>&foxclocks.zonepicker.description;</description>

rather than using the value attribute. This allows the text to wrap to the next line if it's too long. Anyway, you probably didn't need to know that smile.gif.

Pedro, I've removed trailing spaces in the following:
CODE
<!ENTITY foxclocks.zonepicker.col.timezone.label "Fuso orario">
<!ENTITY foxclocks.zonepicker.description "* Indica che è attualmente in vigore l'ora legale">
<!ENTITY options.format.description "Imposta come visualizzare la data">

I've tested it, and it looks good. Let me know if you want me to send you an xpi.
Teo, I sent you a PM about the Polish translation...

Really good azzer! The usual wonderful work biggrin.gif

It is not necessary that you send me the file, I trust your work! user posted image

Only one thing: if you can..... just test if this "è" is visualized as "é" and all it will be ok! tongue.gif

Thanks in advance for this!

Pedro: The ""è" is displayed as "è", not "é". Is that wrong?

No. You should be fine.

The problem was that the width of the 'Zone Picker' tree was actually determined by the width of the entity foxclocks.zonepicker.description - my mistake. It looked fine in English ("* indicates that daylight saving time is in effect"), but the tree is very narrow in Polish ("* czas letni") and even Italian ("* Indica che è attualmente in vigore l'ora legale"). Localisation is a good way to find bugs!

If the Spanish text is short, you'll see the same problem, but just don't worry about it. When I add the Spanish locale files to the fixed version (sitting on my PC) it should work fine.

Excellent. Thank you!. I noticed there were two Pacific Ocean categories because Pacifico was missing an accent for three places: now they all have accents. Can you confirm that's correct? And I re-sorted the list just for fun.

I've attached the new zones.properties.

Thanks again,
Andy

Polish translation for 0.9.32 is redy.
I have new suggestion. I think will be good if in the zone picker window will be button 'Close'.

Fantastic. Thank you! I've made a tiny change:
CODE
options.format.standard.8=<24g2>:<m>:<s>, <d-s>, <mies2>/<d2>/<r2>
It used to be '<mon2>' instead of '<mies2>'. Can you confirm that my change is ok?

Let me think about your idea of a close button on the Zone Picker. There's already a 'Show Zone Picker' checkable menu item.

Thanks!
Andy

Thank's azzer!
In the Polish language 'month' is 'miesiąc' and I translate as <mies2> in the all strings. Also 'hour' is 'godzina' - translation <24g>.

About 'Close' button. Why I have to go 'Show Zone Picker'->'Close'? When I made changes in the my list, I click 'Close' button which is near 'Show Zone Picker' button. That's all. It will be very easy to operate.

Ok, I believe I have a release candidate, with Italian, Polish and Spanish. Please check it out here (Save Link As...). A few notes:

1. I've added Teo, Pedro and chuzo to the contributors - but just took a guess at how you guys would want it to look. Let me know if you want me to change it for the final release - easy for me.
2. I've made small changes to the dtd's here and there, usually just changing "xyz ..." to "xyz..." (ie no space). If you see anything you don't like, please tell me.
3. I've put the FoxClocks copyright notice at the top of the dtd's and properties files. This isn't an attempt to steal your work! It's just for completeness. If you're unhappy with it, please tell me!
