View on WTS -- Download the extension

Starting in CookieSafe v3.0 it will begin using the base code from the CS Lite extension. Unfortunately that means that all of the string names are different so the translations have to be re-entered. I apologize for this major inconvenience. I went ahead and backed up all of the previous locales before uploading the new version. If anyone needs access to the previous translations you can download them here.

There are two additional files in each locale starting in v3.0 named signature.properties and menuitems.properties. In the signature file just replace the string with the name you want to appear in the CookieSafe about window. In the menuitems file there are 3 options for the MenuitemStringOrder string. The number that you enter in that string will determine how the labels are displayed on the cookiesafe left click popup menu. The various options are listed below:

0 = Allow babelzilla.org for session
1 = babelzilla.org Allow for session
2 = babelzilla.org for session Allow

I've also added additional strings for the left click popup menu items. In previous versions some of the strings were used elsewhere in the extension. In v3 I've created separate strings for each menu item label. In the cookiesafe.properties file you can find them by looking for any string name that ends in MI. This will allow you to modify them without worrying about how it will affect other parts of the extension since those strings are only used on the menu items. In fact if you could even leave some of them blank if you need to. For example, on the session menu item if you only need one of the strings then you can leave the Session2MI string blank.

Please note that you must uninstall CS Lite before installing CookieSafe v3.

I have taken the liberty to translate into dutch (nl-NL). A few remarks though: please insert a description line to be translated, and the Skin chooser does not react when translated. It did when untranslated.

Otherwise: nice work!

Thanks to jsab, to have take in account my request to permit us to translate its extension and use BabelZilla tongue.gif

I have translated it also in the French but it have to be verified unsure.gif

I want also to verify what I have made so
- I have put the fr-FR folder with the en-US folder under locale in the jar file.
- I have added a line <em:locale>locale/fr-FR/cookiesafe/</em:locale> in the install.rdf file.
- I have updated a line in the install.js file to have extLocaleNames: ['en-US', 'fr-FR'], cool.gif
But something else is missing sad.gif

please.gif Can somebody have a look to the extension to see what is missing to use another language ?

Thanks for your help. Best Regards wink.gif

I had forgotten to add a line in the chrome.manifest file :
locale cookiesafe fr-FR jar:chrome/cookiesafe.jar!/locale/fr-FR/cookiesafe/

Now it is right. (Thanks to La Luciole) tongue.gif

To localize the initial description for Moz family extensions, cool.gif
- I have added a line in the cookiesafe.properties file
extensions.{9D23D0AA-D8F5-11DA-B3FC-0928ABF316DD}.description=Control cookie permissions.
(I have translated this description but not put/added in WTS.)
- and also added a line in cookiesafe.js file
pref("extensions.{9D23D0AA-D8F5-11DA-B3FC-0928ABF316DD}.description","chrome://cookiesafe/locale/cookiesafe.properties");

Does the cookiesafe.Classic and cookiesafe.Hand (in cookiesafe.properties) have to be translated.
I don't know where it is used ? unsure.gif

Best Regards wink.gif

Croatian locale uploaded.
I have some questions.

In CookieSafe Options:

"Appearance" tab -> Skin
"Classic" is at first translated, but after clicking on "Change" button, Croatian translation of "Classic" changes to english translation of the same word.
It's not possible to change "Classic" to "Hand"! (in Croatian locale)
After restart of browser - "Classic" stays untranslated and unchangeable.
(detailed description of that what "markh" already said smile.gif

"Global" tab.
Button "HELP" - is it taken from browser locale or?

Tnx!

Like new versions of CookieSafe (1.0.4 and 1.0.5) were made with translations and i receive no answer to my question :
QUOTE("Menet")
Does the cookiesafe.Classic and cookiesafe.Hand (in cookiesafe.properties) have to be translated.
I don't know where it is used ?

I have done like the others translators in BabelZilla, put the status to Released for French. cool.gif

You have not added my suggestion to translate the initiale description of the extension; it is found in the Extension Manager and easy to do it like i proposed it to you :
CODE
- I have added a line in the cookiesafe.properties file
extensions.{9D23D0AA-D8F5-11DA-B3FC-0928ABF316DD}.description=Control cookie permissions.
(I have translated this description but not put/added in WTS.)
- and also added a line in cookiesafe.js file
pref("extensions.{9D23D0AA-D8F5-11DA-B3FC-0928ABF316DD}.description","chrome://cookiesafe/locale/cookiesafe.properties");

It is well teached in BabelZilla, i give you again the link : http://www.babelzill...id=16&Itemid=83

Best Regards wink.gif

First off, let me apologize for not responding sooner to any of these posts. I will try to check this thread daily from now on.

It seems that most of your posts involve the same two issues, the classic/hand skin and the extension description. The classic/hand translations appear in the options window in the 'default skin' box. Unfortunately it isn't working properly since the code used to change skins has to compare strings. In the default preferences file a character pref is set for the default string. Since that pref is set in English it can't be compared to a non-english string in the options window which causes the script to malfunction. I'm currently working on that issue and will post an update as soon as it's resolved.

Regarding the description not being translated, I will add the code posted by menet in the next version. Thanks for eveyone's help. Cheers.

krcko, thanks for catching that. I forgot to include an entity for 'Help' in the .dtd file.

Hopefully all of the problems with the default skin (classic/hand) have been resolved in v1.0.6. Please let me know if you encounter any errors when switching skins. I have also added three new entities to the .dtd files. They are 'name','help','reset'. All of the name entities should already be translated, but the help and reset entities are all currently in English.

I have added a section to the CookieSafe About window which displays all of the contributors. If you would like to change the name that appears in that window please PM me and I will add the correct one. Thanks again for all your help. smile.gif

Well, there wasn't very much to translate in the new version, so the dutch translation has quickly gone into testing.

I am still testing v1.0.8 so it has not been officially released yet. However I have added quite a few new entities in this version and have modified a few of the old ones. So instead of waiting until it has been fully tested I have made it available here for translations. If you experience any bugs with this version please post them. Thanks.

Change from Classic to hand and vice versa now works biggrin.gif
I checked old strings and didn't noticed any changes.
Did I miss something?
Could you please write what did you change?

French ( fr-FR ) is also Released. tongue.gif

When we delete one cookie in the "View Cookies (CS)", we have to do a reposition to go to the next cookie if we want to look it and also then delete it. It is boring. rolleyes.gif
After the delete of one cookie, the next cookie should be highlighted, already shown and ready to be deleted... cool.gif

In the page info is it possible to filter the list, so we see only the cookies from the actual page?
