Rarely, there is still no translation into es-ES (Spanish - Spain). I am a translator for es-AR (Spanish - Argentina). Do you want me to do the es-ES locale until you get an real translator for es-ES?

Hi, I've completed the Italian localization, but I've noticed a few 'free labels' rolleyes.gif :
  • various "termBlaster_print" messages in the *.js files.
(Well, if the above strings are inherent to the debug phase and therefore you need them in English language, please forgive me for the stupid request; otherwise please 'move them' in the locale folder.
    TIA)
  • in the manager.xul file there are two trecell 'free labels'.
(Hmm, if also the above strings are inherent to the debug phase and therefore you need them in English language, please forgive me for the stupid request; otherwise please 'move them' in the locale folder too.
    Thanks again)
  • in the browser-overlay.xul file -lines 20 and 25- there are a few 'free accesskeys'
    QUOTE
    <menu id="termblaster-database-menu" label="&tbBrowser.db-menu;" accesskey="S"
    <menu id="termblaster-quicklist-menu" label="&tbBrowser.ql-menu;" accesskey="Q"

(Of course, they are correct in English language, but they are not 'appropriate' in other languages sad.gif .)
There is also a last accesskey which is inherent to the title of termBlaster (and usually nobody localizes the name of the extension(s)), so I'm writing about this just in order to share with you this 'note'.
Sorry for the disturbance (because of these reports), and thanks for your comprehension

Hi,

Sorry I took a long time to reply, but I've been busy so I haven't touched termBlaster for a few months, but I'm planning to release an update soon with the currently released translations. I'll assume that they are all perfect, but if you find any issues with them please let me know.

MatrixIsAllOver, the termBlaster_print is in english so when anyone has any problems with TB they can post debug info in a language I understand tongue.gif

Do you have any recomendations on how I should fix the access keys?

Also, no need to appologize for the disturbance biggrin.gif I appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed, I did not expect such support.

- David

Hmm, what about this?
In the browser-overlay.xul file - content folder
QUOTE
<menu id="termblaster-database-menu" label="&tbBrowser.db-menu;" accesskey="&tbBrowser.db-menu.AK;"
<menu id="termblaster-quicklist-menu" label="&tbBrowser.ql-menu;" accesskey="&tbBrowser.ql-menu.AK;"

In the English termblaster.dtd - locale folder
QUOTE
<!ENTITY tbBrowser.db-menu "Search Selected With">
<!ENTITY tbBrowser.db-menu.AK; "S">
<!ENTITY tbBrowser.ql-menu "Quick List">

I can't seem to download the translation files, all archives come out to be under a kilobyte.

Hmm... you're not alone! I've just tried, and I confirm.
BTW, I've just obviously created the empty folders, manually grabbed every single file of the complete (Released) locales, then compressed them.

Well, it was really simple!
The reason because every kind of archive seemed broken was the presence of the brackets in the name of the extension. smile.gif
Our so lovely tech Admin Fenian suggested me to remove them, thus I've removed them and now it works!

Hey, thanks everyone. I've included most of the languages in the next version of termBlaster which was just approved, but I modified them to support localization of the hot keys. The ones I didn't include: en_US, and en_RU (being tested)

Hey everyone,

I hope you don't mind the double post and I'm not too sure about the update procedures so let me know if I did wrong. I just posted an update to the extension with a few new text labels and would appreciate any translations you guys can do.

Thanks,

David

I'm not too sure about the update procedures so let me know...

Well, when you upload an updated version you don't need to remove all the other locale folders (except en-US)!
In the above manner we translators might 'lose' our previous work. rolleyes.gif
Of course, this is not so terrible, since usually a translator can find his/her previous localization inside the previous xpi file officially released or since (s)he has a copy of his/her work.

BTW, it is 'necessary' only that you put the updated strings in the en-US folder (as already made in this xpi file) and leave the existing locale folders as they are (without the new strings).
Normally this should work.

Italian localization is in testing phase, once completed I'll edit this post or I'll write a new short message.

I've made the description localization changes along with a few more changes to termBlaster, but I can't download all of the current locales because of the bracketing issue (future versions will be simply named "termBlaster with Firefox"). Could you someone change the extension's name or does everyone have a local copy and I should just update?

Well, technically and normally if you doesn't change the ID of the extension the WTS consider the new xpi file as an update. smile.gif

So, only in case you're thinking to change the name and the ID of the extension (and in this case the WTS will create a new Topic which someone will merge, if you agree), then save the tar.gz of all the current locales so that we translators can have the guarantee that no localization will be lost!
