Turkish (tr-TR) locale has been updated for 0.6.1.1.
I translated extention description in this fashion: "Ads are left to the past." |

QUOTE(Wladimir Palant @ Feb 8 2006, 15:12) Now "ads were yesterday" might be difficult or awkward to translate in some languages. For that reason I chose "Say 'no' to ads!" for the Russian translation - I think that can be used for other translations (that probably will be "click with the middle mouse button" in all languages...) Adopted! Thanks for the localized description And about it, the Italian rules about the localization say "Use an indirect style", so I applied it: "Allows to say 'no' to ads!" I also added for more comprehension in the Italian description, after ads, 'presenti nelle pagine web' (In English 'ads (that are) present in the web pages') So, in case you think this 'addition' isn't necessary, feel free to remove it Italian localization is ready, it can be grabbed as usual from the WTS -------------------- ![]() E' meglio tacere ed essere, che dire e non essere (Ignazio, II sec. d. @MatrixIsAllOver: You are the translator - it's your decision. I don't know the language so I can't judge how it sound there.

Wladimir, Could you please put the ":" in the the strings that have to be translated in the next version. In French translation, we must add a space between the last word and the ":".
Thanks a lot -------------------- |

QUOTE(pirlouy @ Feb 8 2006, 15:27) I choose "les publicités, c'est du passé !" without discussion so it could (should) change. translated by 'ads, it's past time" with a little effect of rhyme. But, this is Jojaba who will decide when its connexion problems ends. Well my connexion is almost down, so here I am in low speed I think that "Dites non aux publicités !" sounds also good. Let's have a discussion about it in the French BabelZillian Foum Pirlouy http://www.babelzilla.org/forum/index.php?...indpost&p=10568 -------------------- |

@jojaba: Yes, I've seen the discussion in your thread. I guess I'll have to add this the next time I synchronize WTS with my CVS repository.

What is your point of view about the "Danger of the extensions" written by David baron's (look at the bottom of the article).

@jojaba: Oh, and if you meant only my opinion on "N of the M different versions/forks of AdBlock leak every page you visit" - Adblock Plus 0.6.1.1 seems to have no memory leaks (Adblock Plus 0.6.1 had two however, might not be every page but still). Adblock Plus 0.5 has a really bad leaking issue due to the way it was made compatible with fast back&forward (I'm not sure whether dbaron's leak gauge would report this leak but it is there). I think it is the same with Adblock 0.5.2.056 (the inofficial version made by mcm). As to Adblock itself - shouldn't be too bad there though I'm pretty sure it has a few memory leaks.

QUOTE improve the quality of their extensions (and by quality I mean code quality + interface quality + documentation quality) I agree with that. But who would do that ? Anyway, you answered my question, that's the major point. I have no technical knowledge (I mean I could'nt bring up an extension), but I read that somewhere and I was worrry about it. Thanks for your kind answer. -------------------- |

QUOTE I agree with that. But who would do that ? That's the hard question. I'm doing this a little already (LiveHttpHeaders 0.12 is a recent success, Adblock is a complete failure). And I'm sure it will be possible to find a few more people for this job. But in the end volunteers aren't going to be sufficient, somebody will have to get paid for doing this job full-time. That's something me and Mike Morgan agree on and hopefully in the discussion to come our voices will be heard. |
