"Flush" sort of means the same thing as "save" when you're talking about transfering data in memory to disk. For the purposes of translation, you can think of it as "data source save failed!" instead.

Hope that helps,

Alex

What should we put in the "numEntriesPre" field ?
There is no text.

Depends on the language being translated. This is part of the string at the bottom of CLippings Manager's status bar which counts the number of entries. For example, in English, it may read "8 item(s)". There could be other languages that may have something before the number.

The item count is split up into three parts in clippings.properties: numEntriesPre is the string before the item count. numEntriesPost is the text after the item count. So in English, numEntriesPost is "item(s)", but because nothing is needed before the item count, numEntriesPre is an empty string.

If the language you are translating Clippings to doesn't need anything before the item count, you can leave it blank too.

Ok Alex, thanks for that explanation smile.gif .
But I'm not sure WTS would "support" a field without anything (Goofy said it earlier to me for an other extension), I suggest the translator to put the html code of the space in it.

Sorry, I reviewed the source code for Clippings and realized that "numEntriesPre" isn't used anywhere. Please ignore what I wrote about the "numEntriesPre" above.

Also, I tried putting " " for the space characters in clippings.properties, and it gets rendered as the HTML code instead of a space. So putting the HTML code for a space probably won't work.

I put the iso code of the space and it works :
CODE
&+#+1+6+0+; (without "+" ;) )

I just tried it out and found that works too if I do this:
CODE
numEntriesPre =

But how do you put in a non-breaking space in something like this, for example:
CODE
gibberish = foo bar baz

Here, it would be rendered in the UI as:

foo bar baz

I put the space code in the WTS fields. They are reading in utf 8 format automaticaly.
You put the code in the *.properties file directly I guess you must put the correct entity. Try this :
CODE
&+#+1+6+0+; (without "+")

or
CODE

or
CODE
&+#+8+1+9+5+; (without "+")

or
CODE

I have uploaded a new version of Clippings (version 2.2). There are a few changes to the existing strings:

In clippings.dtd: openClippingsMgr.menuLabel
In clippings.properties: openClippingsMgr and htmlFmtDesc

No new strings for localization were introduced with this release.

Thanks in advance for all your help!
