Croatian locale has been tested and released smile.gif

I had a problem with 'About' window.
It looked like this wink.gif

Can you fix width of option window? (make it larger or its size automatically adjusted?)
This translation doesn't fit sad.gif

I'm unable to test the es-ES localization of this extension.
The about dialog problem happens even with the en-US localization.

Krcko, thanks for alerting me of the about window error. It seems that I mistyped the chrome url. Hopefully it's fixed now. I also found a problem with the translate script in the 'View Arguments' window. That has also been fixed and I've increased the size of the textbox in the options window. The updates are now included in v1.0.

Since there are so many parameter descriptions in the 'View Arguments' window I didn't include them in the locales. I thought it might be easier to just use babelfish to automatically translate the whole page. Unfortunately that leaves out a few languages. The babelfish website currently supports the following languages:

Chinese Traditional
Chinese Simplified
German
Dutch
French
Greek
Italian
Japanese
Korean
Portugese
Russian
Spanish

If you would like to see how the 'Translate' button works just temporarily change your locale to one from the list above. Type about:config into your browser. Scroll to general.useragent.locale and change it to 'es-ES' or 'it-IT' or a different locale from the list. Then open the view arguments window and click translate.

Dutch translation tested and released cool.gif

On the above: as I am obviously using Dutch as locale I would expect the translation of the arguments would come up, but no such thing. I just got a message that my translation was not available ops.gif

markh, you might try downloading the extension again. There was an issue with the first version that caused some problems with the translate button. I have since corrected that problem and updated v1.0 with those changes. You can also download the extension from the link below. The translate script tests your browser's locale by retrieving the general.useragent.locale value and then redirects you to the corresponding babelfish page. As long as your general.useragent.locale preference is set to nl-NL then you shouldn't have any problems. I have tested the translate script using the nl-NL locale and it seems to work fine. It's most likely the extension version you are using.

You might notice a few of the parameters are being translated as well. Only the parameter descriptions are supposed to be translated. dry.gif I'm currently working on that issue and should have it resolved in the next version. Cheers.

Hi,

Turkish translation has been compleated. I don't know what can be done about virus scanner option in "View Arguments". I wish to have an option to translate them for languages doesn't supported by babelfish sad.gif .

The only way to translate the htm files would be to include a copy of those files in each locale or to create a separate entity in the .properties file for each parameter description. Then each time the page loaded the entities would be retrieved and displayed using javascript. Neither of those options seemed practical at the time so I decided to use Babelzilla instead. If I include the descriptions as separate entities then there could end up being 25+ entities for each .htm file and I had planned on including more .htm files in future versions. And if I include the .htm files themselves then each translator would have to wade through html code just to find the parameter description. I'll try to use one of those options instead of babelzilla in the next version. Out of curiosity which one would you prefer?

Hi smile.gif

Italian localization has been completed, but only partially tested. sad.gif
Unfortunately it seems there is a problem inherent to the 'About' window (it doesn't open, as you can see in the image)
IPB Image

May you please fix it and, if possible for you, upload again the xpi file?

Moreover, may you please add the localized description to the extension?
TIA

For testing purposes you can access the about window from the safedownload toolbar button. I seem to be in the habit of messing up the chrome url for the about window. This has happened with a couple of different extensions. biggrin.gif

I've corrected the url and updated all of the locales in v1.0.2. You can download it from the link below.

http://forum.softwar...wnload1.0.2.xpi

As for the description localization, the locales already include the necessary string to display the description in the user's default language. I've tested the extension with a couple of different locales and it appears to be working properly. Let me know if you experience any problems with the description in the version above.

Thank you very much for your quick answer!
Just downloaded the xpi file, installed and tested. It works fine now, localized description too (don't ask me why, but in the Italian locale there was the English string! Mystery has been solved) biggrin.gif
Well, Italian localization has been completed, please replace it! wink.gif

Thanks again
