In case you have some curiosities about the WTS, you may find here short and simple Questions&Answers about it!

In case you're looking for some specific translator, please see the list of the available translators on BabelZilla.
Selected that desired one, you may send him a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public).

You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc.

@youknowwho,
You are not developer this extension. You have approval from developer for publish on the BabelZilla?
This extension have maxVersion 1.5.0.*. What about 2.0. I have remarks about status bar icons (are 24px - should be 16px). Who make changes?

I already translated it when I saw this message.
Did somebody try to contact developer through its email?

Hi everyone,

I was unaware of this site and I thank teo for making me aware of it when he noticed that someone else posted Torbutton here. It looks like a fantastic community service. Someone else had initially posted the extension but it has been moved to my account now.

I do have some questions about logistics. It is great that in just a few days all of these translations have been made. Version 1.0.5 is currently in beta testing and will be released soon. What happens when a new release is made? Do I post a pre-release version only for translators so that they can work on it before the release? I would like the copy that I post to addons.mozilla.org to have the translations in it. Typically I have emailed my translators prior to the release so that the copy on the addons site can have the translations. How do other developers handle this?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
I inform you about BabelZilla by e-mail. You have to inform all old translators about register on Babelzilla. All registered translators get information about new version automaticly when you upload new version on BabelZilla.
About BabelZilla you should read second post in this thread.

@Teo
I posted it before reading Babelzilla's rules. It was my fault. I have emailed the administrator asking him to remove the extension for me. This will never happen again.
@Scott
Sorry, Scott. I should not have posted your extension.
Torbutton is quite handy BTW.

smile.gif Yes Teo is right of course. As a side note I would like to insist on the necessity to gather all already existing locales and checking relative codelines in install.rdf or chrome.manifest before updating your extension on the WTS, so that previous translator's work is not lost.

Hi everybody,

Thanks so much for all the translations. If you have contributed a translation, I would like to list you in the credits. Please send me your name as you would like it to appear and which language you translated in a private message. But only if you want to, of course.

Thanks!

@Scott,
Please remove from all translations new strings (untranslated strings) and try upload new version again. Now all translators see status 100% translated strings. New strings must be only in en-US locale.

Well, consider locales actually being in progress before resetting any work already done wink.gif

hey, "spoofing" US english shouldn't be working only for websites? I think the implementation has some issues here. All extension's options turn to en-US and browser's options simply return an XML parsing error when it's enambled on Firefox 2.0.0.13.
