Sounds interesting. I'll take a look at it this evening and hopefully can provide the de-DE locale.

I think this is a little mistake...

I have also seen that description didn't change when I changed the language...it is always in english..sad.gif

..and the informations window return an error message unsure.gif

I think the second problem depends by this:..

....from about.xul

CODE
<label value="&createdBy;"/>

...this entity isn't the same of the options.dtd file

CODE
<!ENTITY about.createdBy "Cr.........">

I am sure that Laeb will repair soon these problems smile.gif

Pedro and ReinekeFux: thanks for your enthusiasm !

Victory:
- thanks for the japanese localization !
- the <!Entity...> your are pointing at is not used yet because i haven't turned on the function to switch languages. I'll fix it anyway.

Pedro:
- this little bug about the information window in the extension manager is fixed now.
- I did not localize the description on purpose: i am checking if the extension manager is going to support localized descriptions in the near future. If not, i'll add it wink.gif

Ok, so finally here's the German locale for mailTagger. smile.gif
Even if it isn't needed right now, I've included the German description in main.properties (as comment) for later use.
Would be great to obtain a version with all issues fixed before the final release for a last check.

One thing yet:
The category names in the dropdown and the options window won't show up as translated. Is anyone else encountering this problem, too? mellow.gif

yes, I encountered the same problem when localizing bits in the js file. I just did not find the good "categories" items to localize because there wer several items, some were not to be touched and so on... (the problem was : I was and still am too ignorant about code to distinguish which items were strings to be localized)
So I gave up sad.gif , considering the user can easily modify these categories titles when editing with the icons manager...
But if someone - most likely, the extsension author himself biggrin.gif - could do it, I would be very pleased, because I like this extension very much...
Think Global, Make Locales!

ReinekeFux:
Thanks for the german translation and for reporting that bug. I'll send you a version of mT for a last checking before i release it.

Goofy:
I'll fix that.

Didn't get any error.
The first time I tanslated the words in the dropdown menu Category I typed

Incoontjes............but it should be Icoontjes...............

So I uninstalled the extension, made the text correct and installed it again.

The text stays Incoontjes in stead of Icoontjes

It looks like that text is writen somewhere when loaded the first time..............but where

Just tell me where to look and I will try to help

Asterxx,

1- Go to your thunderbird profile directory.
On windows XP, it should be something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxx.default
2- Open the file named prefs.js.
3- search for mailTagger references.

I hope this will help.

Ah, now I've got it!
That's also the reason for this:

After deleting the corresponding lines in prefs.js, the category names show up translated!
So they are just not overwritten when installing a different version...
