Thanks for the tips, markh.

In case that someone is interested, I am looking for translators that are playing Popomundo online game as it would be then easier to verify that the translation makes sense and that vocabulary will match the one used on the game.

At the moment the game supports the following languages:
sv en de it fr es no dk fi nl pt tr et hr pt-BR lt

I hope you have the translated files on your computer and you can upload them because your work disappeared when I uploaded a new version of the extension. I did not know that Babelzilla would behave like that and I am really sorry if you have to translate everything again.

kind regards,
Tommi

Sometimes lost work can be recovered by Tech Wizard Fenian. Perhaps contacting him can resolve some of the damage wink.gif

In the mean time, following this guidance should prevent recurrence. rolleyes.gif

I have added Unaiaia as translator for es-ES again.

Now that I know how to test (thx Goofy) I tested the translation and I'm having problems with accented characters (in spanish á é í ó ú and ñ). How should I solve this??

Also, I have a suggestion for the extension, how about adding the % weight of the objects in the object list. You can find it in the alternate text for the image in the left of the object's name.

DTD files are (or should be) UTF-8 encoded and therefore you can enter the characters as such. I am not sure about the other developers, but I always encode properties files using Java's native2ascii tool and therefore I avoid problems with non-US-ASCII characters.

That has been on the to-do list and I implemented most of the functionality yesterday. A new release is coming out in few days smile.gif

I'll see what I can do with the UTF-8. I'm using Notepad++ on Windows and i though it was saving the files in the same format they were, but it seems is not.
I'll take a look at it when I'm back from work.

I need 5 posts to use Private Message, so, from now on we can speak this way... but for now:

Hi, so do you have the translation?

I have it done, but i couldn't make it work, I keep having errors even with the UTF-8. I'm not sure if it's a Windows issue. If you don't have it I'll send it to you to see if you can make it work ¿ok?

Ok. I have the files, but there are errors with certain characters. Can you try to edit those via the Babelzilla web interface?

Tip of the day:
The size of the options dialog can be adjusted via popomungo.optionsDialog.minWidth and popomungo.optionsDialog.minHeight parameter strings. The default size is now 35em x 35em, but for the Italian translation the dialog size is now 45em x 35em.

I'm still getting an error with the Spanish version. When trying to access options dialog:
QUOTE
Error de lectura XML: entidad no definida
Ubicación: chrome://popomungo/content/optionsDialog/optionsDialog.xul
Número de línea 46, columna 2: <prefpane

in english...

Have you downloaded the latest Popomungo version from Babelzilla? For me your translation works fine:

I tried again at work (with the last version) and I'm having the same problem, here I can switch locales, so I tried English and it works fine... I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3

The problem is with the DTD file. Either you are missing a string from the Spanish translation or there is some error in the DTD file. The error might be a syntax error or there is an invalid character.

Make these replacements, if needed:
> becomes >
< becomes <
& becomes &
" becomes "
' becomes '
