If someone downloads the extension here and the author doesn't yet include all locales, it might cause problems for next release... I'm wrong ?

Maybe should we put a fictive address in updateURL until the author includes all locales.

You are right.
But it must be clear that here on BabelZilla we do NOT release more-or-less-modified-extensions ! This is not a site for publishing extensions but to enhance collaboration between extensions authors and translators.

All xpi attached files in this topic should be deleted (and replaced by zipped locales), except perhaps one test build created by the author of the topic, Goofy in this case. (with fictive address for updateURL)

Hi translators!

I was very pleased to hear about the translation of bmh! The localization of Goofy is excellent. I attach the complete xpi file, because there were a few typos in the localized version of bookmarksHomePrefsWindow.js. Also, I included a small text file with credits in the locale folders:

de-DE: translated by ReinekeFux 2005
fr-FR: translated by Goofy 2005
it-IT: translated by Pedro 2005
ja-JP: translated by Victory 2005
nl-NL: translated by Gert-Paul 2005

If you want another (nick)name in the credits, let me know. As for the best way to attach new/revised locales, I'd say follow the example of Reineke:

As for the updateURL, you can just leave it out of the install.rdf file (if you want). Of the translations, I've only studied the dutch translation with a critical eye and it was very well done! I'll upload the xpi tomorrow evening unless some changes/new locales are submitted.

Thank you very much Jeroen for your concern, we are all very pleased because it was a kind of testcase for our website and it seems a convincing experience !

Now we just wish you send us a word if ever there are new strings to translate in a version to come, so that you make the next release with all updated locales included.

I'll add xavivars catalan translation to the xpi. Good idea about the search engines! Actually I'm now working on making the search engines the same as in the search box in the top right corner of ff. These engines can be easily added (not to the profile however, I'll try to add that to bmh; but that's another story). I'll change the credits to

I had a problem with my locale at Linux, and I thought I was writing utf-8 files when I really was writing ISO-8859.

Here you have the new locale, with this bug solved.

I've put bookmarkshome1.2.9.xpi up now. Should be visible soon (might take a while). Included last version of xavivars (and removed startup.html. Sorry, you translated that one for nothing . Let me know if there are any problems.

This new version works perfectly as the precedent!

But I attach here the italian folder because I have seen a little mistake, surely made by me, in .dtd file.

I have taken advantage of this to edit the txt file in locale folder. I have changed babelzilla team with eXtenZilla team (my national project).

I'm really sorry for this additional work.

I'm sorry, but I have to post another version of the Catalan locale.

When I added new search engines to boomkarkshome.html, I didn't see that they shouldn't have http:// at the beginning (ex: "http://www.search.com?q=" had to be "www.search.com?q"). If there is http:// at the beginning, firefox has an unusual behaviour, and it opens Google's "I'm feeling lucky" result for the word "http"

That's why two of the search engines included in the Catalan localization don't work. It's not an important thing, this could wait for a new release of the extension, but it would make that we shouldn't spread the extension to Catalan users until next release.

If Jeroen could release 1.2.10 with this fix, it would be great.
