Just a bit of information for you: in case you have some queries about the WTS, you can find short and simple Questions&Answers about it here!

In case you're looking for a specific translator, please see the list of available translators on BabelZilla.
When you select the desired one, you can send him/her a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public).

You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc.

Thanks...I got a letter from a translator wishing to translate my extension, he advised me to put the extension to BabelZilla, that's how I came here.

Update: Please note, currently extension error messages aren't in internationalization files, so they aren't available for translation now, but will be in some future release.
Also, if someone would like to translate Simple Mail description on AMO site, you're welcome.

We have a dedicated forum for this, pending new features on the WTS. You can post the lines to be translated there and translators will give you their version wink.gif

Thanks, I've read the forum, I think I'll add an amo.properties file to my extension in the next release.

I'm not sure how to upload the new version to BabelZilla so that current translations aren't lost. The extension is available here: http://ser-ega.newma...lemail.1.66.xpi The only differences from version 1.65 are that "errors" property is renamed to "error" and the package also contains "amo.properties" file, containing extension description from AMO site.

Everything you need to know can be found in this tutorial. The main thing you need to remember is that you need to include all locales (released, in test or in progress) and update chrome.manifest.

In the preferences there is 'Email', I'd like to localize it, we use 'E-Mail' in german.

OK, I've uploaded a new version with the "email" property.

BTW, in WTS "Download all locales (missing strings: blank)" link works incorrectly - in downloaded locale files ALL the strings are blank.

yeah, me... biggrin.gif

by the way, on your site (i mean you, telega) you have link to install version 1.69, but locales in it are from some older one, i tried it in and the extension didn't work - it was missing the strings you added recently. i added them to the simplemail.dtd file, reinstalled it and it worked properly. one advice: don't release new versions until you have all locales for the current version from all translators, otherwise it will do this. (and it's also good to wait until it's approved and updated on AMO)

note: i don't know if the bug was in all locales, but in slovak it was. i didn't check the other ones. rolleyes.gif

At the moment I was releasing the version the "Download all locales (strings blank)" wasn't working, so I downloaded individual locales and included into the release as they were (not sure if I downloaded all the locales or the ones that were 100% ready). Now I'll be doing "Download all locales(strings replaced)" for the releases, and "Download all locales(strings empty)" for uploading new version to BabelZilla.
Waiting for AMO review may be too long, especially if you need to provide an urgent fix for some bug.

smile.gif Hello

Mmh there seems to be some problem in the version you recently submitted. I tried in vain to test it with the French updated locale, then I tried also with en-US just as it is without more success:
The extension is simply freezing the browser unsure.gif when trying to get the options in the extension manager. No icon appearing in the status bar.
Test performed with a clean new profile with this config
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7

Hi, sorry, my bad, I've uploaded only locale/manifest files, as the extension isn't fully working yet. Didn't thought that you'll need to test it. ops.gif
BTW, seems that WTS doesn't have support for identifying strings that have changed from previos version. I wrote a note that "helpContents" string has changed, but I see that guys that have released their translations didn't update that string.

Yes it is good practice to actually test the extension with the new/updated locale before releasing it (hence the status 'Testing/QA'). That's what sometimes makes translators good beta testers biggrin.gif . Obviously the translator who has already released his locale either did so in error or didn't bother testing. I'll just assume the first option is the appropriate one angel1.gif

Hi telega,
Can you add the strings for this alert, please?

And can you add also the files and the strings (see here) for the localization of the xpi's description in the Firefox Add-ons window?

Thanks! smile.gif
