Zipping/unzipping files
To have a look into .xpi and .jar files, we can use tools such as : - 7 Zip : http://www.7-zip.org/ - Izarc : http://www.izarc.org/ - ... Editing files Some useful tools : - PsPad : http://www.pspad.com/ - Jedit : http://www.jedit.org/ - ... Translating strings - a great number of dictionaries and glossaries ( *to be completed) - a very interesting extension by Lid2000 : Localite with a mod version : it allows translating entities and strings from properties files without the pain of writing the <!ENTITY> stuff. You can even choose another textfile from the previous locale you did and just have to add the missing translations. A recent but promising extension... - 2 extensions which can help to translate via Babelfish and/or Google translate : Translate and gTranslate - There also is the very good Translation panel extension more to come... just add and share your experience ! -------------------- Think Global, Make Locales!

Does anyone know any tool that would let me remove/rename a single entity in every locale in my add-on?
(I know that WTS will strip out any entity not in the default after I download it again but I was wondering if there was a way without uploading and downloading the xpi (and emailing all the localisers in the process)). |

(I know that WTS will strip out any entity not in the default after I download it again but I was wondering if there was a way without uploading and downloading the xpi (and emailing all the localisers in the process)).  mmh not absolutely sure of what you are exactly looking for...I personally use PsPad editor (win only) which has a good efficient feature to replace whatever you want, with the "Search/replace in all files" item: in your case, you have just to unpack your xpi with all locales and set the desired directory for replacement. When processing, there is an output list with all concerned files so that you can keep control of wanted/unwanted substitutions. -------------------- Think Global, Make Locales!
