Don't be fooled by this serious description, this extension provides a kind of "boss" key incase of emergency (see acronym). Sure it will increase productivity to switch quickly from this to that (or is it the reverse? )

Hey, when you uploaded a new version of the extension the special Polish chars got lost from every file (there "a" instead of "Ä…" etc.) and in panic.dtd there were new line chars at the end of every string.

What editor do you think I should use to not lose those special characters? Currently I am using Dreamweaver. Sorry about that.

Try changing the charset to UTF-8. I didn't ever write my own Firefox extension so I don't have any experience with it, but I think it might help.

Oh sorry, lol. I downloaded Notepad++ and now using that. But Wacław Jacek I looked at the Polish files online and they all look fine. So what should I do to fix this? Just re-download and re-package them and then re-upload them? Thanks for your help again.

I think you might just've opened the locale files and then saved them so the charset got messy.

Nevermind...I see it now says 100%. Thanks again for all of your help. I'm new to the site so I not sure how everything works.

I re-uploaded it and now it says that the Polish language is only 97% complete. What happened?

You probably have changed/replaced/reassigned the extension's description string because it was untranslated, the rest was fine though!

Yeah sorry about that...so now that it has been translated into Japanese what do I do? What I did before was download the files and repackage them and then re-uploaded the extension here. Is that what I should be doing or am I doing it all wrong?

Yup, I think that's extacly what you should do when you release a new version of the extension (I think sending the locales to BabelZilla is not necessary though)

(but of course you are not supposed to update evry time a new locale is provided, you can just wait for a new version of your extension and then take the occasion to add the new locales)

I was attempting to add the Japanese locale but the characters do not show up correctly, they are just boxes. I've tried editing them in notepad, notepad++, and dreamweaver. How can I solve this?

I am not sure, i also have problems seeing japanese chars. Best thing to do is :
1. download the ja-JP locale
2. don't open it with whatever editor, because the simple fact that it is opened with a new encoding then closed can damage the initial encoding
3. drop the ja-JP folder inside the locale one and repack.
It should work
