Welcome! welcomeani.gif

Just a bit of information for you: in case you have some queries about the WTS, you can find short and simple Questions&Answers about it here!

In case you're looking for a specific translator, please see the list of available translators on BabelZilla.
When you select the desired one, you can send him/her a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public).

You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc.
While the bankers all get their bonuses I’ll just get along with what I’ve got

closedeyes.gif ehm though I have the deepest respect for Schiller and Goethe's language, I suggest it would be more useful to translators around the world to have all original strings to translate in English.

This one for example may arise some questions wink.gif

Thanks for your warm welcome!

@Goofy:
Ehm, of course you're right...
Well, ehm, actually the extension doesn't use that string at all... I must have missed that one when throwing out garbage... blush.gif

smile.gif Would you please give some hints for the meaning of some strings in your extension specific context?

change wings back to classical style
Which wings does it refer to ?

Compact Shelf View
Is it some kind of virtual bookshelf?

only 'ot' in brackets

Does ot stands for "Off topic" or anything else?

BX currently has DST

BX probably stands for bookcrossing I suppose, but what is DST- Daylight Saving Time ?

Open AVLs
What is an AVL ?

Like bird's wings.
E.g. on German bookcrossing forum you see many usernames have wings. Some have wings that don't look like wings and BC meanwhile calls the wings feature "Members plus" now but for historical and tongue-in-cheek reasons I stick to "wings" for now.
uhm, this one's obsolete, too. Meanwhile they have that feature included in site functionality...

Yes, like this: ardik's AVLs
A major part of BCH (Bookcrossing Helpers) acts on these pages. Most of BCH's rest acts on the forum pages.

Yes. Rather leave it like that. You'll find examples of its use on the French BC forum, too.

Correct.

An AVaiLable book. Leave it like that, it's a fixed term on the BC website.

I've got to thank YOU!

smile.gif thanks for explaining. Also I can now check terms on the French mirror site which includes a handy glossary.

@translators there are mirror sites in a good number of languages that can help.
see on the main site links in the left-hand side menu.

I finished the translation of Bookcrossing strings for Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR). There are some blank lines and a German line in the LinkListCreator.dtd and prefwindow.dtd files.

I inserted an explanation for expressions like "AVL" and "OT", not supressing them. It´s necessary since in portuguese there are not in use so much English notations like that. I think the in brackets explanation will help a lot for the Brazilian users.

Work is done! Released!
