hmm, Japanese characters included jaJP files were all broken.
did someone edit by text editor that doesn't support Japanese?

P.S. there're many Japanese text editor,
a part of them support utf8,
only a few support another lang's character. (e.g.:xyzzy)
that will same(perhaps more less) in European editors I think.

Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.
If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.

Doesn't work, ............. can someone send me the locales

---------------- Thanks but...

Note to all translators : this extension though very handy and interesting for translators is not developed any longer as far as I can tell.

Considering its previous developer is still maintaining extensions such as SwiftTabs, URL Suffix, you are welcome to send him a friendly message asking if Localite Mod could be maintained too, if you find it may be useful smile.gif

I am VERY glad you are continuing this extension I like much biggrin.gif .
As Gom (aka Heygom) has "abandoned" this extension, you are welcome to submit now on the "official" thread here in this topic (just tell me if you agree and i will switch the developer's id in the database) Edit : Done, you can now submit, with due credits to heygom of course . Note that Gom himself was continuing the original extension (David Murray aka lid2000 created it , then Norah made various Japanese hacks, maybe you could find interesting things in these contributions)

smile.gif My wishlist for localite mod

1. There should be a control over saving before closing the addon with the right-hand top cross. Some alert saying
"It seems you did not save your current work. Do you want to quit anyway ?". It will be good for goofy people like me that always forget important things and lose data.

2. The feature "Load the localized texts from another file" should be maintained, obviously it is precious for translations to be updated from a previous version.

3. It should be easier to save and jump to the next string. I suggest pressing the ENTER key should automatically save the string and display it in the "new value" column
It is too boring each time you have translated a line to fetch the mouse and click on Save before selecting another string or click on the Next button. Or at least there should be a keyboard shortcut (e.g tab for next, shift-tab for previous)

(to be continued, I will give a look at POedit interface to see what are the good things that should be implemented in the extension.)
Think Global, Make Locales!
