You're welcome smile.gif

Idea for future development:

Transliteration from Cyrillic in accordance with Swedish transliteration spelling rules (and other languages' spelling rules).
Usable when you (like me) use Russian sources when writing in either English or Swedish. Different rules apply in Swedish and English.

Example:

Russian: Пётр Ильи́ч Чайко́вский
Swedish: Pjotr Iljitj Tjajkovskij
English: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Polish: Piotr Iljicz Czajkowski
Finnish: Pjotr Iljitš Tšaikovski
French: Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski
German: Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski
Turkish: Pyotr İlyiç Çaykovski

Has anyone really tested the add-on?
It seems more like it gives back some (latin based) but is that latin or Polish script (unless the special characters are dictionary convections)?
For example: Russian text: "самая большая по территории страна в мире" (copied from wikipedia) returns:
"samaâ bol'šaâ po territorii strana v mire".

A small issue (not important): It doesn't work well with some dark themes on Gnome3 - the transliterated text is too dark, haven't tried it with the default theme though)

In the post above yours, I'm addressing the issue. I agree that only Polish transliteration doesn't suffice, but I like the general idea and think it would be a great add-on if you could choose your output transliteration language.

That said, and even if this add-on is pretty much useless as a transliteration spelling engine (into Swedish in my case), with some basic linguistic knowledge the Polish output still is enough to show you how a phrase is pronounced.
