Welcome! welcomeani.gif

Just a bit of information for you: in case you have some queries about the WTS, you can find our Wiki here!

In case you're looking for a specific translator, please see the list of available translators on BabelZilla.
When you select the desired one, you can send him/her a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public).

You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc.
While the bankers all get their bonuses I’ll just get along with what I’ve got

zh-CN locale released.
One question about the extension. Some sites scroll or flash the title when there is a new message, then there will be notifications without stop. How can I deal with that?

Sorry for the late reply.
In most of the cases you can set a regular expression for that site to show just one meaningful title (e.g. to show the title when it contains "message"). In the other cases (or if you don't want to bother yourself with regular expressions) the internal algorithm to detect cycles helps to reduces the flickering and to close permanently the notifications. Unfortunately the algorithm sometimes needs a lot of time to detect cycles.
Rather that make more complex the algorithm (which could make slower the browser) in the next version I'm going to make the effects of scrolling/flashing titles much less annoying. The size of the notifications box will never change, word wrap will be used and sequential title changes of the same page will never open a new notification on the top but will update the previous one also when the cycle has not been detected yet.
The restyling of the notification box is also the first mandatory step to get to future features like "stackable" notifications.

I'm going to release the ver. 1.2.0 in AMO soon (likely by the end of the week) and it will include your localization.

Thanks a lot to you and to others that translated it, you are great!

Where do you think I should put the credits to translators in AMO? I was thinking about Developer Comments, so they wouldn't need to be updated in every localization of the summary (About this Add-on).

The Developer's Comments section is perfect for such things. smile.gif

If you include a localised section for en-US in the install.rdf file, the translators here at BabelZilla will have the opportunity to add localised information, e.g. the translator's name, that will show in the Add-on manager and the add-on's About window. You can copy-paste this:

CODE
<em:localized>
    <Description>
        <em:locale>en-US</em:locale>
        <em:description>Shows a desktop notification when the title of a tab changes.</em:description>
        <em:creator>Giuseppe Angelone</em:creator>
        <em:translator>Giuseppe Angelone</em:translator>
    </Description>
</em:localized>

Cheers,

Mikael/Lakrits

The ver. 1.3 is now downloadable from AMO and hopefully shortly it will be reviewed. Now it uses a common ui pattern (it stacks the toasts vertically).
The next release should expose a desktop notifications API to web pages and to other add-ons, so I will need your help again smile.gif

The version 2 we are going to ship exposes a web notifications API as implemented by Chrome (desktop notifications). You can try it on gmail or imo.im
I hope you don't find the interface confusing since now the extension provides two different but complementary functionalities.
The functionality already present in the previous versions will be called "title monitoring" or "title notifications".
The expression "web notifications" is used for the new feature, although in chrome they are always called "desktop notifications". This is because it's shorter and in the future other apis similar to the current html5 draft (that always speaks about "web notifications") may be provided.
To better clarify the difference some strings have been changed.

If I'm not mistaken WTS doesn't notify when a string is changed in a new version(in order to check the translation)
Here listed at least three strings that were changed:
<!ENTITY settings.useTitleRegExp "Notify only when the changed title matches the regular expression">
<!ENTITY settings.autoClose "Close notifications for changed titles automatically in">
<!ENTITY settings.defaultBehaviour "Monitoring of titles">

Thanks for your patience, I hope you will enjoy this extension.

I uploaded a new version here and in the AMO web site. I translated the rest of the French localization. Besides, in settings.dtd I forgot to change:

<!ENTITY settings.exception.behaviour "Monitoring of titles">

So in some languages I translated that string. I hope I didn't write obscenities rolleyes.gif

To be honest I should change the descripton, since it doesn't mention the new feature (html5 desktop notifications) but 250 characters are too few, and in some languages are even scantier, so I'm waiting for inspiration and suggestions smile.gif

The new versions adds full supports to dual monitors and a clearer (I hope) preferences window.
The last localization (Catalan) is the only one with the updated description. Thanks to CatTranslations.

I suppose that refers to the primary and secondary displays (monitors).

Exactly. Although not everybody can afford a desktop big enough for two monitors in order to test it (nor I can, but I'm on holidady at my parent's place smile.gif).
For translators "Screen" would have been more understandable than "Display", that is often interpreted as "to show", by the way, in Catalan, shouldn't it be "pantalla" as in Castilian?

If there's difficulty in a language to separate the two terms and a more clarifying string is needed, there's sufficient space for changing (and translating)
Primary and Secondary into Primary screen and Secondary screen. smile.gif

I updated Serbian and Hebrew localizazions on my own and uploaded the ver. 2.1 on AMO
However if you see some error let me know here, the review takes long
(I can read only latin letters blush.gif)
