I've added your extension to our web translation system which we are testing right now. You find it here: http://www.babelzilla.org/translator/

You can download the language files there and it is possible for the translators to on-the-fly translate your extension. It gives you an overview of which translations is made and it hopefully easier for you to control all transations ( atleast I think it is )

But... Just 1 question. How can you (asuming you made this) control who translates what? What if a bored bastard decides to add foul language and stuff? I can't possibly know if some Swedisch line is ok or not.
On a forum it feels a little bit more 'safe'...

I've downloaded the extension and now I've a question:

When I'm in the options menu I can't change anything until I enter my own search engine.

Is this (maybe) a bug?

I have created the entities for the about window after all... I do understand the reasons, I just did not want to bother the translators with new lines again... And I personally still don't like an about screen in different languages... But your right... It's better this way.

I can't contact the original Spanish translator (Cristóbal Donoso Macaya) anymore, sent him 6 e-mails over the last 2 months now... And I realy need/want to update this one for compatibility with Ff 1.5 and a bugfix...

Ok, a bit weird maybe, but this was my Movies & Music Search extension. Due to recent changes/additions, that name did not cover all it can do, so I needed a new name.

1 of the reasons this *big* change was, that people just kept asking for more and more features, untill it became like Firefox's Web Search feature (and more)
The other reason is that I am entering the Extend Firefox Contest with this extension. And well, if I want to make any chance at all, it needs to be prefect (impossible...)

This change also means that some previously translated lines need to be changed as well, cause they said things like "Movies and Music Search..."
I hope you all don't shoot me for this extra work, but just like it.

(except : I sent you a test-search engine suggestion and received no alert message about not being allowed to - there must be some script controlling that no goofytester is allowed, some malicious goofycode may endanger the search engine community)

I suppose it is without consequence now with the chrome manifest, but I noticed you left the "mmsearch" name in every locale/contents.rdf file. What happens if people use a previous version of FF where the contents.rdf file is taken into account ?

All. Just to be sure, cause I forgot to mention it. You may all suggest search engines as many times as you like to test/see the message translation. If they are serious I will just approve them and they will show up in the options screen, otherwise, they'll just flow away. No problem

Yes I did (that is why I tested) but I was just surprised there were no special secret anti-goofy filter in it

I have made the same 'mistake' as Globs describes in WTS Process Problem so unfortunately all translations now show up as 100% done.
All not-yet translated lines of you will be filled in in English.

You may grab the Italian complete, checked and working localization from the WTS

ja-JP/websearchpro.properties is completely broken...
cannot restore from new archive and have to translate from zero if i translate on WTS.
don't edit *.properties file directly by european text editor...
that's useless for both you and me...

in this case i have previous version so this isn't a problem,
but this may become a problem if already deleted or works only on the WTS.
