Updated Dutch (nl-NL) locale, but after installation I got this error when opening the options window:

Also, switching BabelZilla Toolbar on/off in toolbar rightclick menu has no effect.

Hi Alf,

Change the value for the textbox in option.xul:

QUOTE
<textbox align="center" multiline="true"
rows="3" style="overflow: auto"
cols="20" value="&bzm.babelbutton.tip;"/>

and control the entity in option.dtd.

For the 2, excuse me I do'nt understand the question or the problem sad.gif
I made my toolbar version. Download attached file and compare. I don't check .js file, but all options working properly. IMHO instead use splitter will be better add some icons and add hide/display button label option.

@Alf, See my post above.
This bug causes your error.

bug fixes [CUT]

Mmmh... sorry if I bother you and also if I downloaded a 'strange' version (everything can be possible) but it seems that in the options.xul file, lines 61-63 there is the entity
QUOTE
<textbox align="center" multiline="true"
rows="3" style="overflow: auto"
cols="20" value="&bzm.babelbutton.tip;"/>

, while in the options.dtd file, line 9 there is still
QUOTE
<!ENTITY bmz.bzm.babelbutton.tip "...">

Please, may you just 'officially' remove it from the English locale before uploading the next version?
TIA

BTW, I've just removed the double 'bmz.' and obviously the extension worked fine. smile.gif
Italian localization has been tested and finally set as Released.

Thanks for your reply, efdur (and teo), but I'm not a developer and I will never be, although I learned a lot by translating the extensions. With all respect for the developers, when I report an error and you acknowledge that's a bug by suggesting to make a change to some file, I expect the developer(s) to made that change in the next release. IMHO it's useless to change something in the extension as it is overwritten when updating to a new version.
I just updated the Dutch (nl-NL) locale of version 0.1.9.7 and tested it, but both problems I reported are still there. Hope to see it's fixed in the next release.
Goofy
Yes thank you MatrisIsAllOver for your eagle eye smile.gif and thanks for your patience dear Alf.
I shall release a correction soon
In the meanwhile, try the attached version and tell me (set for en-US fr-FR and nl-NL only here)

[should be fixed now]

@ alf smile.gif
for the second observation you made, about the absence of right-click with menubar dropdown menus, it is a choice we have been discussing with efdur. If users prefer to get the right-click menu (in the toolbar) as well, it will probably be in a future release.

laugh.gif Yes you are right but don't forget some details :

1. I am not a developer, just maintaining the extension my goofy way
2. Real developers for this extension are various contributors, it is not so easy to gather every patch and suggestion without GoofyMistakes ™
3. We are all here on our free will, fumbling in the code of this trivial extension on our free time, so please don't insist too much on the "developers should do this and must do that", thanks biggrin.gif

I'll just downloaded and tested the 'test'-version and the option window is working OK now.
About the right clicking in toolbar problem: It's working now, but only with a visible bzm-toolbarbutton AND the right-click toolbar option always ON. Switching on/off with the bzm-toolbarbutton works OK, but only with the right-clicking toolbar option set to ON. Switching off with rightclicking toolbar option makes the bzm-toolbarbutton not-working.

Oh, I'm aware of all these points, your 'non-developer'-backgrond and the fact that the creation of BZM is something 'special'. And with 'to made that change in the next release' I actually ment 'one of the next releases'. I know that the BabelZilla-platform is often used for beta-testing also and I don't have any objection to that. But after reporting an error asking the translator to change something in the extension itselfs is a bridge to far for ME. Just a reply with that's a known bug and what caused the error and a note that it will be fixed in one of the next releases will be enough. It's my free time also. rockon.gif

Great, seems we have the same taste, as far as it's concerning toolbars that is...
After playing with the toolbar I have 2 more questions/remarks:
1) the Extensions dropdown list is right aligning (text and icons are on the right side of the list)
2) is it possible to make an option to let the user select the toolbar items?

@Goofy,
Sorry, but I forgot about Babelbar toolbar button. Label is displayed on the right side instead bottom. Please use attached file which corrected this issue. Also, you must change bzb22.png to 24x24 pixels and next one proposal - change in the 'my_favorite_address.xul' file all parameters 'min-width: 40em;' to 'min-width: 30em;'.

Hi, where do i find the Norwegian (nb-NO) link for "My Glossary"?
btw, for norwegian nb-NO, there is already an extensive list made by Skolelinux, used for translating KDE, Skolelinux and Openoffice (i think):
http://i18n.skolelinux.no/nb/Fellesordl.eng-no.html

So far I did not find which glossary firefox.no translation team is using.

Two solutions :
1. the simpler is: just drop your address
http://i18n.skolelinux.no/nb/Fellesordl.eng-no.html
in url33 item of bzm.dtd
2. the longer is: create first your English-Norwegian dictionary of extension terms and link it afterwards
example of various glossaries :

Just moment Goofy. For next release I rebuild all .css files and some .xul for clear code. Why used 2 times the same code? Now when we use bottom labeled design all toolbar icons for toolbar (not for Babelbar) should be 24x24 px. For Babelbar - 16x16 px.
In the attached file are some new .css, .xul and icons for better design. These files working only all together.

I'm going to like the BZM-toolbar more and more...

Another suggestion: Is it possible to add an option which automatically show the BZM-toolbar when the URL is *.babelzilla.org and that tab is active? Technically it is possible, the extension 'Unofficial Myspace Toolbar' is using this and it works great.
It's on BabelZilla: http://www.babelzilla.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=2394
and on the web: http://www.freewebs.com/myspacetoolbar/
This extension has even the possibility to change the toolbar items: - on / icon only / off as I requested before:

Another small 'problem': on the BZM-button menu leftclicking a menu item opens that item in the active tab, while rightclicking opens that item in a new tab. Rightclicking an item on the BZM-toolbar opens (of course) the FF-toolbarmenu. So maybe it is possible to add an option so the user can decide how to open the item when clicking on a toolbar item?

i have a question

in babelzillamenu.dtd:
what is this string doing "Feed for Firefox Extension", i cant see it in action anywhere. also, what is the difference between this string "Feed for Firefox Extension" and this one "Firefox extensions Feeds" (seen as tooltip for a toolbar button)

I also have one possible bug to report:
Even though i choose not to have "My BabelZillaMenu" in context menu, it is still present and untranslated (english) while rightclicking on links

Thanks teo,
I'm testing your latest css-files you posted here, but there is one problem:
I've put both icons (BZM and BZM-toolbar) on the Bookmarks Toolbar (not the 'normal' toolbar). This bar needs smaller icons and with the lastest css-file there is a bigger (24?) BZM-toolbar icon, so the whole bar is to heigh. The BZM-menu icon on this toolbar looks OK.
In the css there are two links to icons-png on the toolbar, one for the big icons and one for smaller icons. On the normal toolbar this is working OK, but not on the BookmarksToolbar. Could you fix this somehow?

Edit: I renamed bzb22.png to bzb16.png and that solved the problem, but putting the icon on the normal toolbar it's to small...

Hi Ptit Lutin,

You have already made the French translation ohmy.gif
So, I have no more job to do... I will verify a little but all seems good. tongue.gif
I will certainly propose you to be yourself the French translator of your extension laugh.gif

I note one problem :
If I use one of the links proposed by this new BZM 2.0 with left click it use the current opened tab and overwrite the content.
Before I could use the right click to open the link in a new tab. It seems it is no more possible. sad.gif

Can you correct that ?
I often use BabelZilla using several tabs for it. With right click it was easy and quick.

Note : I don't use the bar but use the button in the tool bar that I have to re-add. cool.gif

Good job.

I go to bed. Best Regards. Menet wink.gif

It is not a problem but a deliberate choice suggested by Ptit Lutin and I agree with him. Instead of right-clicking you just have to middle-click, which is the normal setting for Firefox itself smile.gif

Of course if there is a tremendous general storm of indignation by right-click addicts among users, this choice may be reconsidered (or not tongue.gif )

If it changes or be optional, I will be very happy because I already use the middle-click for one Windows function : "reduce window" cool.gif

Edit : I have found that "SHIFT+left-clicking" gives also the result that I want. I am looking the source to see if I can make a change for myself to use left-clicking (not only right) to do the open in a new tab by default.
I suppose that changes have to be made in bzm-event-mz.js file.

As (Super laugh.gif) Goofy said, we've tried to follow default browser behavior/options.
"BZM links" work like bookmarks (try to modify browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground or browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick preferences for example)

In the future, BZM will perhaps allow to redefine buttons behavior but for now it's not a priority.
