All right I will do it then. But I suggest the text will be exactly the same as the label one, there will be nothing new to translate. Labels are sufficiently explicit I think ?

You know, I'm a "sort of maniac" therefore I think, if possible, it would be better if the text could be used "as an explanation"!

Please don't get me wrong, I try to explain using a probably stupid example: when the mouse is over "*** Glossary" I'd like to see in the tooltip something like: "Open the web page of the *** Glossary in this tab, or in a new tab with right click"

What do you think?

Well, the button wasn't appearing in any of my bars. I searched all of them, nothing.

You have to put it there yourself. Rightclick on the toolbar and choose 'Customize'.
There will be a window with the not-used buttons. Scroll down and find the button for BabelZillaMenu.
Drag is to the place on the toolbar where you want it.
That's all, good luck.

Hi,

I have just discovered this extension during a walk on Geckozone web site tongue.gif

Good work Goofy. cool.gif

May i add some requests :

- Can you add on the first entry of this story that there is a bug with the tooltips of the extension ?
I have always BabelZillaMenu in all the toolstips of my 2 profiles. At the begining the tooltips were a little square empty.
QUOTE(Ptit Lutin)

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147670

- I want to take the less space with the buttons on my toolbar (only small icons without texts).
Why do you have added, at right of the button, an arrow ?
It adds no new functionnality ?
For me, the arrow at right should be deleted because it is not mandatory, clicking on the button gives the same functions than the arrow. ohmy.gif

- I uses small buttons (Icons without texts) on my toolbar.
Adding the BabelZillaMenu button makes bigger the height of my toolbar.
Can you reduce the size of the BZ button ?
...

EDIT :
I have looked inside the XPI file in the content catalog, I have found the babelzilla16.png not used ?
I have also looked inside the sources, it is always the babelzilla22.png which is called, but only one time in 2 files. Some code is missing ? unsure.gif

I have edited the babelzillamenu_FX.xul (like I use FirefoX) to replace the string "babelzilla22.png" by "babelzilla16.png" on the line 19.
The other place where "babelzilla22.png" is referenced is babelzillamenu_MZ.xul but i have not updated this one (I don't use Mozilla)
It works now, but with that change, it is no more good for big icons ! tongue.gif

Best Regards wink.gif

Italian localization has been tested and set as Released. smile.gif

Well, I've a sort of (crazy? laugh.gif) proposal with some preliminary remarks: as the French co-developer Ptit Lutin already knows, since Goofy given his permission in order to "personalize" the extension, I've just changed a bit the Italian localization (since the first version) by changing the reference to an extensions subforum (not useful for Italian people because it doesn't contain any Italian localization / other) and replacing it with another extensions subforum! tongue.gif
BTW, although I know this is not a typical behavior of a translator, I think this could be transformed in an improvement: in the future, not now and without hurry, what about the possibility to give to the people the 'freedom' to choose which elements to display once clicked on the BabelZillaMenu icon via 'official' new options?

Hi Goofy,

You are right, all the bugs that i had spoken before seems to be corrected now tongue.gif

But i had a request, I use TabMixPlus with several tabs and only one window for FF. When the BZM extension is called, it replace the current tab (containing a web page) by the page of BZ requested sad.gif

If you correct it openning a new tab, please, verify that if the current tab is About:blank (an empty page), you have to use it; you have not to open a new tab in this case cool.gif

I haven't tried the right-click, you are right, it opens a BZ page in another tab. tongue.gif

But with it, there is 2 problems : cool.gif
- It open the tab in back-ground (the current tab stays in front)
- If we are on a empty tab (About:blank), this tab is not used.

Hi,

I have looked the source and tried to modify it to solve the 2 bugs i have shown before when we use the right-click :
1) It open the tab in back-ground (the current tab stays in front)
2) If we are on a empty tab (About:blank), this tab is not used.

I have found how to correct them, i have modified the babelzillamenu.js file to have :
CODE
function babel_open(event, url)
{ var currBlank = (getBrowser() &&
    (getBrowser().mCurrentTab.linkedBrowser &&
    (getBrowser().mCurrentTab.linkedBrowser.contentDocument.location == "about:blank")) ||
    (!getBrowser().mCurrentTab.linkedBrowser &&
    (getBrowser().mCurrentTab.label == "(Untitled)")));

    if (event && event.button != 0)
    {
        if (currBlank)
        {
            loadURI(url);
        } else {
            var tab = getBrowser().addTab(url);
            getBrowser().selectedTab = tab;
        }
    } else {
        loadURI(url);
    }
}
With that code, using the right click, it open the URL on the current tab (if empty) or a new one (not in background) in the others cases. cool.gif

I have reedited this post, because i have also corrected the 1st bug, not only the 2nd.

Can you implement it for the next version ? smile.gif

I have also tried to obtain the left-click that open the URL on a new tab (if not empty) without success. sad.gif

If you have any idea that works, can you give it to us ?

Best Regards wink.gif
Goofy
smile.gif Many thanks for this contribution !

As far as i have tested, the new feature is : A new tab opens on right click on the foreground instead of on the background

I will of course integrate your mod with due credits if users prefer to have the new tab on the foreground (I just don't know what people prefer)

For the moment there is no such page (I think it is created dynamically) and it should need a special script to get a stable address (just a conjecture, I don't know really).

BabelZillaMenu 0.1.5 (es-AR) is ready on wts
Goofy
smile.gif Thanks acushnir

--- Just released version 0.1.5.3
Please don't trust the % displayed by the WTS, you have generally 7 new strings to translate (but Ptit Lutin suppressed the addresses which needed no translation, hence the percentage over 100% laugh.gif laugh.gif )
Note that the version number is not to be "translated" anymore in your locale file.

Changelog
- moved entities not to be translated inside the content, courtesy of Ptit Lutin
- removed version number from the entities list. "Version" only is to be translated
- added es-AR locale courtesy of acushnir
- now a new tab opens on the foreground, courtesy of menet
- added new menuitems "My 10 last posts" and "show unanswered topics"
- added a wts menuitem "My Language Untranslated Extensions" thanks to Fenian
