Of course the menu is highly customizable, just change the titles, addresses and accesskey in your own locale and it is done.
For example, the title and address of "My Language Forum" as well as "My Glossary" can be changed according to your language. But you can as well prefer having "My Control Panel" instead of "My Inbox" and so on.
Note that when the precise address includes the ominous
&

character, you should replace it each time with the
& html equivalent.

Update for version 0.1.3
Added :
- About window
- Right-click opens pages in a new tab / Left-click in the current tab
Dear 'Mr new Developer'

it seems I'll add the Italian localization to your nice extension!
You know, I'm a sort of 'maniac of experiments', therefore I've just installed BabelMenu in a fresh profile of Firefox (version Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1a3) Gecko/20060622 BonEcho/2.0a3 ) and it works fine!
So, what about the possibility to change the maxVersion compatibility?
BTW, I'll begin ASAP the Italian localization, I promise.

Sure I shall do it, dear friend !
[sorry I made a mess with your last post, instead of replying I edited and cut main sentences. Your ever goofy zio
]I don't remember the exact words, but even if I used different words I think the concept is the same!
Only a few suggestions:
May you please remove this part

from the urls?
It's not necessary.
QUOTE
url17b "http://www.babelzilla.org/forum/index.php?act=Search&f=56
The f=56 limits the search to forum 56.
It should be removed.
BTW: If you want, feel free to add:
QUOTE

Thanks for the tip about the urls, I corrected it.
And many many thanks too for the rdf file, which is so boring to write (and me too lazy to do it) !
Hello Goofy!
Status of Croatian locale is 'testing/QA'
For my language forum - there is no Croatian forum so I changed the link to
thisWeb Translation System - I lefted it untranslated - IMHO WTS and WTC should have sign next to them

No, seriously, I think of WTS as a trademark of Babelzilla.
What is your opinion?
BTW How to make/add 'English-Croatian Dictionary of extensions terms' in Glosarry?
(I keep/have it as a html file/page)
Nice extension!
Thanks krcko !

There is a glossary for you now :
http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?option...73&catid=62But possibly you must send a pm to our Tech Admin Fenian so that he gives you rights to write/edit.

Hello!
I started to translate BabelZillaMenu in Russian and I have some questions.
There is no "English-Russian Dictionary of extensions terms" on BabelZilla, but this page is currently being on mozilla.ru site. Can I link "My Glossary" menu item to this page?
And I think that i can fix urls, how Fenian said.
And maybe you can add toolbar button with this menu?
thanks for your work !
QUOTE

Yes of course for the 2 things ! It is exactly what I wish : customize it according to your needs.
QUOTE
And maybe you can add toolbar button with this menu?
A toolbar button is easy to make, but a toolbar button with a dropdown list is another thing and I am not able to do it because I am no coder reallly. I just adapted one already existing extension.
Any help and contribution welcomed for further improvements.

Hello again! :-)
I modify your Extension and now it adds toolbar button:
http://people.mozilla.ru/stoneflash/misc/b...1.3-toolbar.xpiPlease, say what you think about this. May be it'll be better to separate extensions. If you think it's good, i'll improve button.

Wow it works fine !
Of course the button itself should be reduced to something like 16x16px and the icon itself improved. I will send a mail to efdur (a graphic designer friend) so that he makes something more attractive than my initial choice.

Shall I modify BabelZillaMenu in future (some improvements, like tooltips for menu items, icon (big and small) for toolbar button, and maybe icons for all menu items), or you can do all of this by yourself?
By the way, it also works in Flock 0.7.1. Could you add strings in install.rdf for Flock?

Of course you can add whatever you wish, no problem !
About Firefox compatibility, I shall add it of course, but can you tell me whaat are the current min and max versions these days ? Thanks.
(For information, Ptit Lutin will probably add an install.js for mozilla compatibility

)

About Firefox compatibility, I shall add it of course, but can you tell me whaat are the current min and max versions these days ? Thanks.
About FF I changed min/max version in the following manner:
CODE
<em:minVersion>1.0</em:minVersion>
<em:maxVersion>2.0.0.*</em:maxVersion>
At the moment I don't remember if the 'official indications' say "2.0.0.*" or if it's possible also only "2.0.*", but both 'methods' work fine.

thanks ! Same question about Flock if you know it ....?

Goofy
Yeah... :-) And will you accept this modifications to official version?
Compatible versions of Flock: 0.5-0.7.
QUOTE

Obviously yes !

Goofy
Ok. Maybe it'll be better, that i create a separate extension, for example BabelZillaButton? And i think it will be easier to manage 2 separate extensions.
What about new menu items? Do you want to add something new?

Install.rdf doesn't contain em:file section, so that doesn't work with Firefox 1.0.x (Gecko 1.7)
minVersion should be 1.5.0.*

Allright, this is an update :
- One dropdown menu button instead of BabelZilla word, courtesy of stoneflash - Thanks !
- Credits for translators in the about window - One new string to translate please
- Locales for ru-RU, es-ES, sk-SK, pt-BR, it-IT, nl-NL, hr-HR, pl-PL
- fixed min/max versions for FF and Flock
- reduced size of toolbarbutton icon to 22x22px
Thanks to all contributors !
@Goofy
- Line 15 and 16 in the babelzillamenu.xul should be translated.
- Text should be bottom icon

yes, you are right. Will be done.
Thanks !

For me is to long. You are experienced developer/translator, and please check layout when you check 'Icons and Text' option.
QUOTE

Yes I have some experience on translation but I am no developer
----------
New little update
- Flock and Mozilla compatibility addition, code cleaning by Ptit Lutin - Thanks dear Charles

- Image of the about window resized to 100x100px
- One short string more to translate, please.

One correction/tip for your translations, courtesy of Fenian :
The correct and stable address for the "Wiew new posts" (url32) menu item should be :
CODE
http://www.babelzilla.org/forum/index.php?act=Search&CODE=getnew
@Goofy,
Where is my translation??

I was registered translator, but now Polish locale have 'unknown translator'. What is this. Last time many extensions made this bug. Now I don't know which extension I translate.

Sorry for the trouble. I just restored every missing translator name.

es-ES locale released.
Dutch (nl-NL) translation completed, tested and released.
The toolbar button is a very big improvement!
One small remark:
In about.dtd is a item: 'text.ver.0.1.6'
The English text is: 'ver. 0.1.3'
I translated it to: 'ver. 0.1.4', because that is the current version.
But is the 0.1.6 just a looking ahead to the future...?
Alf
You are right to mention what I forgot : version number is now currently 0.1.4 please.
Thank you for being more careful than me

[edit] corrected now (but I leave the entity name as it is)
QUOTE(Goofy @ Jul 17 2006, 13:33) [snapback]17097[/snapback]

Your welcome

I think you're allowed now to set in your profile 'Extension Developer: BabelZilla Menu'
Alf
Just one more remark:
Because you didn't define any tooltips, there is a very smal empty tooltip box when hovering the mouse over the BabelZillaMenu menu items. But when you move the mouse over another item with a tooltip, then that last tooltip information is shown in the BabelZillaMenu menu.
Hi Goofy,
I have 2 remarks:
1. Still BabelZillaMenu is displayed near by icon instead bottom
2. When I pointed any element in the toolbar button menu I see last displayed tooltip.

You are right,

it was corrected and it is re-apperaing again. Must find a workaround again. Tell me if you know how to fix it. Thanks !

It's not a menu anymore. There is a button now you can place (allmost) anywhere you want.
