Dutch locale added, tested and released

Two small requests:
1. Could you please add a localized description?
2. There are no options for CSS, so invoking the options button when on the CSS tab gives you an empty field. It is better if 'Options' is grayed out in that case, because it looks like a bug.

Thanks for the translation. I just submitted a new version which has a few more strings at the end of firebug.dtd that I had forgotten to localize.

Mmh it seems your last update erased the previous translations on the wts. You should have included all locales before submitting again.
Please read this item :

The question of the localized description remains!

I thought I did include the other translations! The only one I saw, however, was Dutch. Were there others? The es-ES and zh-TW are in there too, but they came from outside Babelzilla. My apologies for the mistake, I need to get the hang of this site.

Great, thanks, looking forward to not being able to read Firebug's UI in Italian as well!

By the way, someone from outside Babelzilla has just sent me a French translation already.

Good to know

There is no rivalry between French translators, we shall be very glad to invite him here so that he can join the team and contribute, to get the best possible French translation in a collaborative way. Would you please tell us who is he or even send him an invitation here ? Thanks

Hi Joe,
I'm the guy who sent you the french translation. I joined the Babelzilla team to validate and enhance the translation which is ready now.
We will translate new items which come since beta 6 as soon as you update firebug in the web translation system.
Cheers,
Franck.
Oops. I think you forgot to include the existing locales again.
@translators: You need to re-register yourself, except for fmarcia and netaras.
joehewitt
Feb 4 2007, 03:48
Sorry about that. I have all the locales and I will post the extension again with them included.
OK, I've been able to re-register gonzalopirobutirro, fmarcia and myself as translators, but there are some translators that haven't posted here so I couldn't register them. It concerns the translators for es-ES, zh-CN, zh-TW, and sk-SK.
joehewitt, you should have received a notification when they first registered and when they finished their locales. Could you

send me their nicks so that I can re-register them as well?

french locale released

.
notes:
- the
issue 16 seems corrected in this 1.01 version in one case (CSS panel), but not the others (HTML panel,...)
- if you will distribute 2 versions , one english only, and one localized, I think you should use 2 different updateUrl, that point to 2 different .rdf, to avoid collision on future update.

Anyone knows who is the Swedish (sv-SE) translator? It seems he is MIA and I can't add myself as translator. Is this fixable?

Ouch! All translators except en-US (obviously), da-DK and hu-HU have gotten unregistered and cannot re-register themselves. I will register those who have posted here manually, but could you post a list of translators here?

Please just wait. I have talked to Jan on the irc, he is aware of this and has collected names, they will receive an email or a pm to inform and invite them to re-register ;-)
@translators: I saw quite a few English lines in my locale, so be attentive

They probably cannot re-register themselves, so we’ll have to do it

No problem, you're welcome ofcourse - I'm not the one who has committed most of this work, actually, IIRC, I just updated it taking off from what was already there.
I was pointed to this no-too-well-maintained danish extension translation on the danish Moz support board by a user.
And being on the Moz IRC net already, I took a guess and tried /JOIN...

Good to see this popular extension back on BabelZilla.

Hi,
zh-CN locale updated and released.
Carefully tested. It works fine. :-)
Well, I'm not the original translator.
Registered to submit my own extension and found firebug still needs work. So, I did it.
Accomplished all new words along with some optimization.

Hi!
Updated Hungarian translation. And to go a bit ahead of you, here are the missing strings from the Tracing dialog:
Tracing = Nyomkövetés
Clear = Ürítés
Clear Tooltip = Napló ürítése
Find = Keresés
Find Tooltip = Szöveg keresése
Bookmark = Könyvjelző
Bookmark Tooltip = Könyvjelző beszúra
Restart Firefox = Firefox újraindítása
Exit Firefox = Kilépés a Firefox-ból
Also I couldn't find any tracing option that showed me any Scope variables, so I couldn't verify the translations in that tab.
Best regards,
gLes

Catalan translation released!
If you can, put: "Xavi Ivars - Softcatalà" in the credits, and "ca" as the locale name (no ca-AD or ca-ES).
Thank you!
Polish locale released. I found some bugs. See attached files.

I have uploaded a new version with missing strings you have mentioned
- tracing window should be now localized
- change editor (title) should be also localized.
@xavivars
Your name is in the about dialog, you can check it here:
http://code.google.com/p/fbug/source/detail?r=1326@teo
- the icon should be correct in the end user version. I have been using slightly different build system for versions here on WTS.
- I am not translating the "Load Response" button on purpose. This is just a temporary solution and I hope it will be removed soon.
- good point with the short-cut not localized (not fixed yet, but I'll take a look at it)
Thanks to all for the feedback and translations!

Updated ;)

After some heavy discussion about what to translate and what not to (on danish Moz forums), Danish is re-released.
The problem in translating a highly technical ext like this one is in what to translate, while still maintaining full usability for the locale users - as one danish tester expressed it, 'translating the word "border" is, instead of helpful, actually rather confusing to the (already very technical) users of the extension'. So, this release contains quite a few lines reverted to english, to the benefit of the tech users using this ext, instead of confusing them with "over-translated" strings. We want quality, not quantity.

I've re-translated some sentences too, after some discussion with people from Softcatalà.
