This is the Catalan (ca-AD) translator.
The Catalan localization is ready, tested and released!
Tested using latest 0.3.70

A couple of comments:
In my quest to check all possible messages (testing error messages is quite tricky, as we really don't know how to "trigger" them all), I found the following error dialog:

This is the Catalan translation for "Cannot connect" (string which appears in Google Contacts files). What I'm wondering about is the second part: "undefined: undefined"
The dialog was triggered by doing the following:
1) Set Thunderbird to "Work Offline"
2) Go to the Addressbook
3) Create a new entry (in Google's address book) and click OK.
I'm not sure whether this is a known bug.

Apart from that, I seem to see the string "Send request" in Thunderbird's status bar when Google Contacts are reloaded. This string does not appear in any of the files. If it's really coming from Google Contacts, it should be externalized.

Finally, a question about "wording":

Thanks for the translation and testing.


The message appears when there is an error on sending a request. The two undefiend should be a error status and error message such as "404" and "Not Found". In your test, it could not get the error information since it was conducted offline. Anyway, the information is shown only for debugging. It is not a bug.


It is a message for debugging. I forgot to remove it. You do not need to translate it.

Google Contacts have two sync modes: Interactive and Batch. In the interactive mode, changes of a card are submitted to Gmail immediately. On the other hand, the batch mode, changes are not submitted immediately and send to Gmail when you click the Reload button. The "reserved" means the unsubmitted changes. Google Contacts show an alert if the "reserved" changes include deletions of cards(contacts) and the option enabled.
If you have a better string, please let me know.

It includes strings gmcont.system_group_*, which are used to create Thunderbird's mail lists for each Gmail's system group such as My contacts, Friends etc.
Please set Gmail's group name in your language to each value.

Hi Ogi
This is Catalan (ca-AD) translator.
I realised that version 0.5.12 that was released in Firefox Addons page does not contain the latest files for ca-AD locale.
In the same way, the beta versions that are posted in your homepage also include obsolete files for ca-AD.
This causes some strings (such as group names) to appear in English.
Could you please make sure you get the latest ca-AD files from Babelzilla in your next builds?

In the QA stage for 0.5.50, I realized that there is one string showing in English in the Advanced tab:
The string is "Performance".
See screenshot for reference:

This string also appears in the General tab, although it is correctly displayed there (that is, it shows in Catalan).
The English files only contain this string in the following file:
gmcont_settings.dtd

Does this happen in other locales too?

Fortunately, the string is the same as the one in the General tab.
