Dutch locale tested and released. Please include a localized description!

A remark on the usability of the links to the homepage and the user manual: they are both primarily in Chinese, which may be fine to Chinese users of the extension but is not very useful for the rest of the world . Don't you think that it would be more beneficial to either link it to a fully English page or to have the pages translated into the locale's language, or not to link to the page at all?

Dutch locale updated and released. It is good to see that the User Info link has been altered; is it also possible to open this in a new tab rather than a new screen?
Also, I got a report from my co-translator on this extension that he could not use the context menu: he saw the entries but nothing happened when he clicked on them. I did not have this problem, so possibly there is a faulty interaction with some other extension.

Italian localization has been completed, tested and the files containing the missing strings have been uploaded, but I didn't changed the status to 'Released'!

The reason is really simple: I had to change the Italian localization of a few strings, and I'd need to understand if there is something not too much appropriate in the English localization or if there is something to change in the code.

Well, the origin of the above doubt is the following: during the testing phase I've used one of the added new strings (Open All Image Link in One Tab) in this page ([OT]Oh my God, what adventure!!![/OT]) and the extension worked, of course... but it begun to "create in a new tab a gallery" of all the content of the page
So, for the above reason, I've changed the Italian localization by replacing the first literally translated sentence with something like "Create a gallery of the content in a new tab...", and obviously doing the same with all sentences inherent to this one!
Therefore, before I set to Released the localization, let me/us know if the behavior of the extension has been 'normal' (and in this case I can set as Released the localization) or if there is something you will change in the code (and in this case I'll re-change the localization) before releasing on AMO / your official site the extension.

This problem is solved: uninstalling v. 1.0.9 first, restart FF and then installing v. 1.1.0 did the trick. Don't know what the cause of this problem was, but it was certainly introduced in v. 1.1.0.

Yes,"Open All Image Link in One Tab" maybe not correct as what it doing,because of my POOR english!

what the code to do is open the link which link to an image or an page( contain a big image) in a new tab. so the desire tab must have several images,so it may called "gallery".

so,"Create a gallery of the content in a new tab..." or "Create a gallery use image links..." is more clearly.

en……,yes,some of the english strings need change.because of my POOR english. when i develop i didn't have enough time to adjust all the english strings. so these may not correct mean what it saying.

But now,batchdownload have many locales,so change one string will bother all the translators . So,i will not change this string this time(and i didn't know how to make it better ). In the future, before i submit new version of batchdownload,i will post all the english at this Board,and make english string ok.so,wait for next version,let's make the ext more useful!Thanks you all!

Don't worry for that :
1. Many devs leave typos or more serious errors in their english strings, and there is always some translator to notify and suggest a correction
2. You can update with new version including modified strings, translators will just adjust their translation, being automatically warned by mail there is something new for your extension.

Yes,i knew that. but sometimes translator couldn't know what happened, so he/her just set flag to release,because he/her couldn't find which string is changed. so for newer translators,i choose do not change string in this version.

Don't worry, just warn the translators in a posting about the altered strings, so that they do not miss it. The discussion board is an unmissable component of correct translations!

By the way, I have just altered the strings in the Dutch locale to the English words proposed. Please use the new translation!

I hope you can isolate the bug and publish a new version soon, because it is becoming rather annoying:
Every now and then (I cann't give you any time example) BatchDownload suddenly just did not work: the contextmenu items are present, but clicking on it doesn't do anything. Restarting Firefox doesn't help. I tried to install the latest version over the same version again, but that didn't help also. The only way to get BatchDownload work again is: uninstall it completely; restart FF; install BatchDownload; restart FF.

Yes,I've fix the bug. 1.1.0's translation does not need to be changed,so i haven't submit to WTS. the new one is in attachment. Thanks for your test!

Thanks again for this fix. I'll test it this week. Maybe it is better to change the versionnumber anytime you 'publish' a new version; I have 3 different version's 1.1.0 now...

Hm, i'm pretty sure that i hadn't released the locale. Well, i found two bugs in this locale while testing for AMO so please check in a version with updated locale and i will approve it asap.

Do you try your extension with another languages (excluding zh-XX and en-US)?

Please try with my Polish locale - translation in the WTS is no good. I was spoke about this translation with polish translator and we change Polish translation.

I made changes in the .xul file because with Polish language, task window was too wide.

ok, i find your change is good for pl-Pl. for other locales like zh-CN or en-US also not so bad. That's true. .
Maybe i will use this UI for next version. the free space of the bottom i can add some other things,like download progress, etc. anyhow,thanks for your suggestion!

Because of my bad English,The en-US string may not correctly mean what it done. So before new version was update to WTS,I want make the english string better.. I will very pleased if you would help me with checking english strings.

ps:In this version I add a new function:"Build Gallery Use Selected links..", you can select some links in page,and open the context menu to use it. ,btw,this package only include en-US,before submit to WTS i will add all the exist locales.

Thanks for your confidence, but my english is no good. I try check en-US locale today evening (GMT time), but I think this my version should be correct by native speaking english translator.

Why you use very wide task window? Do you have 16:9 display? Sorry, but for me it's no good design.
Now I change en-US locale, and rebuild 2 files. Totaly rebuild 'config.xul' and once again 'pres.xul'.

Hi Peter,
'User Manual' is only display as tooltip. You can write more words e.g 'Click here to go to the user manual'. This phrase is display in the baloon. If you want use word instead image with 'M' character, will be better use 'Help' or 'Manual' and 'image' instruction have to be changed to 'label'.
If you use this design, you should correct instruction in the .js file which displayed 'User Manual' as link.

I made some correction in English and Polish. Please check last version. In the new extension version include pl-PL locale from my version.
