Hi,

looking around for translators for my extension, I've notice that the list of available translators on BabelZilla do list entries for fr-FR and pl-PL but those pages contain zero entries. Is there a bug or are there really no translators for those languages?

smile.gif Sure there still are dedicated translators for Polish, French, Dutch, German....

(... but please note that from now on the langcodes for these will be two-chars only : pl, fr, nl, de ;-)

We tend to stick to Mozilla supported codes
http://l10n.mozilla.org/webdashboard/

but migration will be slow. please update your chrome.manifest accordingly smile.gif )

Ok, I now locally converted unique four-char langcodes to two-char ones.

How shall I proceed now for a planned update? Upload the xpi with two-char langcodes and afterwards ask for deletion of the four-char ones and migration of the translators to the two-char ones? Or ask you for renaming the four-char langcodes and then upload the xpi?

Yes do upload and we will fix possible duplicates. Please also have a backup copy of your translators list (see dev tab on your page) so that we can register them anew if any problem occurs

I've now uploaded the new version. Could you please fix the dupes and migrate the translators?

The Japanese localization has a specialty because another translator did register himself for jp-JP and ja though ja-JP already existed and is managed by another user. Now ja contains the former ja-JP and I'd like to keep the present ja-JP translator for ja.

Another question: For pl, es and ru I've translators outside BabelZilla. What's the best to set translators to—leave empty or set me as translator?

Just set yourself as translator; if you leave the locales open someone might take them. Best would be of course to ask those translators to sign up here and use the WTS wink.gif

Sure, that I already tried.

Thanks for cleaning up the localizations.
Though for Spanish I'm not sure what to do. Mozillas Dashboard shows es as well as es-ES. You kept the latter were my extension uses the former. Was that deliberate?

Well here we have frequently es-AR active contributors (and sometimes other es-XX), so I suppose it is better to keep variants in this case.

I just uploaded another update for FxIF and there was an enoty fr-FR locale added in the WTS. I can't see why as I don't have such locale in my XPI.

Would you please remove it from the system and take a look how this could happen?

There are again two redundant locales, cs-CZ and ja-JP for FxIF. Could you please be so kind removing them?

Thanks,

Thanks for deleting – I've another request now.
Each time when uploading my extension, WTS tells me it doesn't contain the fr-FR locale and the one already in the system will be kept. Well, until then there is no fr-FR to be seen in the WTS but shows up after the upload.

Where does it come from and could you please kill it as there is a fr locale in the System and in my XPI already?
