Well, normally I insert an invitation, but for this extension, if Chuck and the other Italian translators agree, I'll provide the Italian localization! biggrin.gif

dry.gif Well da-DK is pretty ready, but it caught me cheating... not sure what lines, but there are two too many in the SAVE file... so it reads 108% of the file.

ops.gif
Well apart from that, it should be useable but has not yet been tested.

Welcome to Babelzilla.
I have allways some remarks to new developer and this time is the same. smile.gif
1. Many strings from febe.js file are not to translate. This strings should be moved to -.properties file
2. Some strings from febeOptions.xul file should be moved to *.dtd file i.e Debug, Debug mode
3. In the about.xul file 'Close" also should be translated
4. HTML file should be translated
5. In the febeOptions.xul file parameter </groupbox> should br before <description> - outline around this section will be closed.

I'm waiting for your correction

Hi Chuck!

Great extension, but I have a question: febe.dtd and febeSAVE.dtd are the same file?

The only difference that I can see is that febe.dtd uses ' character instead of ". And I cannot see any reference to febeSAVE.dtd in .xul files (only to febe.dtd). Is that correct?

Thanks happy.gif

Hi,

The pt-BR translation is ready, but I have noticed the same problems quoted above tongue.gif (the HTML really should be translated)

I hope you can fix these.

Cheers.

Hi,

I've started the German translation. Yet, I'd like to hook up with teo concernig localizablity of the mentioned strings. wink.gif

Concerning "febeSAVE.dtd": As it simply seems to be an incomplete duplicate of "febe.dtd" and doesn't seem to be referred to anywhere, I can only guess that it's not in use at all, but only a personal backup file (first try?). If so, could it be removed in order to avoid further confusion and unnecessary work?
Regards, Oliver

Hi All,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I didn't even know that this tread existed until a day or two ago. Anyway, I am uploading the latest version of FEBE with the modifications you have suggested. I got rid of febeSAVE.dtd, added the html file to the locale directory, localized all messages in the javascript file, etc.

The html file "FEBEresultsTemplate.html" needs to be localized, but it can not be tested just yet. I have not figured out a way to specify opening the localized file in my javascript routine. When I do, it can be properly tested. (Does anyone know how to do that? If I knew a way to retrieve the locale string (i.e., "en-US") in javascript, I can figure out the rest).

Thank you all for your patience.

Chuck

smile.gif Great improvements, thanks.

For your localization of the html file :

in febe.js on lines 338-344 you have :

CODE
// Pointer to results page html file
var febeResultsPage = febeExtDir.clone();
febeResultsPage.append("FEBEresults.html");

 // Pointer to results page template
var febeResultsTemplate = febeExtDir.clone();
febeResultsTemplate.append("FEBEresultsTemplate.html");

Try to change the addresses for :

chrome://febe/locale/FEBEresults.html

chrome://febe/locale/FEBEresultsTemplate.htm

... and of course put the relative html files in the en-US locale folder smile.gif
The other locale html files for various languages will be automatically recognized (if it works for the en-US rolleyes.gif )

---a little problem now : as you submitted recently the new version without including the recent locales already done, I fear the previous translator's work wil be lost, unless you/they have local backups on your/their system... You can also send a PM to Fenian so he can fumble in the database archive and see what is to be grabbed.

Dear Chuck,

I noticed another 'free entity' in the febeOptions.xul file, line 6 (title="FEBE Options")
What about using the already existing entity febe.menuoptions.label (title="&febe.menuoptions.label;") ?

I've re-done the danish ones and made proper backup this time. There still seems to be a problem downloading the lot as .gz - but you can get the files one by one if you care to.

Goofy, I didn't include the previous translations because there were so many changes from the original upload. In retrospect, I should have included them. Sorry ops.gif

Hi Chuck,

it seems to be a 'special problem' only with FEBE...
So, meanwhile, please don't use "Download xx-XX - ********** locales as tar.gz-file" and "Download all locales as tar.gz-file" links, but apply the suggestion of AlleyKat and download every single file for every localization rolleyes.gif

Sorry for the disturbance and thanks for your comprehension

It's fixed, thanks to Fenian! rockon.gif

It was a special problem with FEBE, but it's fixed now.

Locales can be downloaded as tar.gz again.
