... the original code author is Winnie and not Willie (I just corrected this GoofyMistake #1743)

Thanks for the info!
I've just replaced the not appropriate name with the correct one (understood -better late than never?- which is the correct name of the 'original extension'-> only BBDict without Extension tongue.gif ) and finally set again as Released the localization. happy.gif

smile.gif Thanks all for your work !

I just updated with only 2 new strings to translate (thank you for taking care of that), but with a cool new feature coded by the great and very kind captain Caveman

Now the search result is displayed in a nice little floating and draggable div!

biggrin.gif Now my friends I am very happy and so grateful to Captain Caveman that I am planning to marry him have erected a golden statue for him in my garden, where I chant hymns every day to his glorious name.

mmmh on second thoughts the little div may appear not so nice due to the poor choice of colours I am entirely responsible for dry.gif (my only contribution here), as I am well-known among my relatives for terrible bad taste.
So tell me if the black on white choice would be better for your taste (- or some psychedelic purple/orange/green composition rolleyes.gif ? - no way goofy... mad.gif )

Hmmm, probably I'm too complicated, but why not the possibility to pick (using a options window to create and therefore to add?) the desired colors?
Too crazy request? tongue.gif
And just a suggestion: when a word is not present in the Glossary, IMHO it would be nice if the user could have a sort of 'confirmation' (where currently (s)he can read the definition?) like "This word is not (yet?) present in the BabelZilla Glossary".

BTW, Italian localization has been completed, tested and set as Released. happy.gif

Ah yes you would like every nation to have its flag colors in the div laugh.gif ? I've been thinking of that, but a colorpicker is largely out of reach for my poor knowledge. I don't know if I will dare annoy Captain Cavemen again for that... rolleyes.gif

Yes it is a "known issue" related to the glossary itself. I've requested that to Fenian who answered he will try and see that some day. cool.gif

(as you see, every time there is serious work to do, I let it do by someone else, what a moron I am tongue.gif )

- thanks for your feedback and your Italian locale, dear friend wub.gif

Hey, this is a great idea... but...

* Is there a user manual somewhere?
* Does the extension only work on babelzilla.org?
* Can anyone add terms to it and use it offline, or does it only work online?
* Can one link it to any glossary or must the glossary be a specific one somewhere?
* What is the syntax of the glossary entries?

TIA...

QUOTE

yes it is related to our Glossary but you can use it on every page you want. Can be hacked easily to match some other word database (only one address to change)
QUOTE
* Can anyone add terms to it and use it offline, or does it only work online?

Current version is online only. Adding termes is via forum and some mod to edit the glossary.
QUOTE
* Can one link it to any glossary or must the glossary be a specific one somewhere?

See inside the .js file and change the provider.
QUOTE
* What is the syntax of the glossary entries?

Depends on languages. Classical access to Glossaries is here :

Last news : now when there is no match found, a "no match found" message is displayed (it seems consistent), courtesy of Fenian. But it is a non-localizable message from the server. Any idea welcome to make that better.

smile.gif New update with new features and some more strings to translate!

Captain Caveman strikes again
laugh.gif

This gentleman-dev heard about requests from artists rolleyes.gif willing to paint their div with customized colors, hence he is offering you a colorpicker (click on Options)

Moreover, on GoofyRequest™ he added 2 very cool features :
1. There is now a localizable message displayed when there is no match found
2. When no match is found, an extra link is displayed, leading directly to your own language glossary submission page, so that there is some kind of interaction between the user and his language community glossary.

Dear Jean-Bernard,

I've just completed and tested the Italian localization using a new profile and the following version of FF-> Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20060929 BonEcho/2.0

The new options window works fine, but I have a 'request': I noticed that the window is really small, but you know I'm a precise person...
Therefore I've added the words "of the window" in the options of the colors (although they are understood words). In this manner I had the possibility to add also the word "Options" in the title of the window. tongue.gif

Well, what about the possibility of a modification also in the Engliah locale, although this isn't necessary for the functionality and although English guys usually use short sentences?
---

Finally, it seems that something doesn't work fine, not yet. sad.gif

May you please fix it?
TIA

smile.gif thanks for feedback.

1. Yes I know the Options windows title bar is not flexible yet (though the labels are flexible ok). I already reported to dear Captain Caveman, since I could not find the way to do it correctly.
2. Yes I have noticed the "no match found" special feature not to appear always. I tested the same as you for "developer" ("no match found") but a longer sentence sometimes works; See screenshot. We shall investigate.

mmmh really whimsical.. I can get that
[attachmentid=1843]
but not always...

I suspect some variable is moving here and there laugh.gif . I hope Captain Caveman will see where the flaw is.
