welcomeani.gif to BabelZilla! The size of your extension has the full interest of the admin team, and I'm sure our wonderful Tech Admin Fenian will find a proper solution.

In the mean time, why are there so many files without any content?

To all translators: a nice job to do here, you may want to do it in teams as there are many strings to translate.
Test xpis can be picked up at http://developer.allpeers.com/babelzilla/
While the bankers all get their bonuses I’ll just get along with what I’ve got

This is kind of consistency on our side, where each group of components (AllPeers is using compiled XPCOM components), share one properties file. Sometime it happens that the file is empty. Should this be too confusing for translators or BabelZilla, then we can certainly remove those files.

Thanks for welcoming us,
Ondrej

There are many split up strings here, which arent easy to translate. They´ll probably wont make that much sense when put together in the program. Any possibility to fix that?

I do not like them either, I guess it should be possible to translate it as long as you have the same order of words in sentence (I know this is not usually the case). What could you recommend us - how can we get it shown as one sentence, if we want to have some words of the sentence to be links?

Complete extension is now available.

ops.gif I registered myself to be a translator for French by following "Not available" for French and now it seems other people can't Edit the files online? Is that true? How do I remove myself so that someone else can access the Edit option online?

I confirm that I cannot save anything in the French resource files.

I added you as a translator so now you should be able to edit the files. But I can only add 2 additional translators. It looks like no more than 3 people can translate online. Maybe we should just all download the xpi (since it's the next version as well biggrin.gif ). Maybe that's the way to go?

Yes, there is a maximum of three translators that can register in WTS, with one main translator who can release the locale once it is finished. The main translator can add two additional translators through the link provided with the locale files overview. If there are more translators that are cooperating together, I would advise to download and share the files for offline translation, and upload the files once they are finished. Of course, uploading can also only be done by a registered translator. wink.gif
You only need to download the xpi for testing purposes. Any non-matching phrases can be spotted then and adapted if necessary.

Should someone want to be unregistered as translator and/or be replaced by someone else, please post it here or send a PM to one of the admins (who can be found through the My Assistant link at the top of this page) cool.gif

Hi !

Magyar vagy??
(R u hungarian???)

I thougth based on the month names on your links...(január).

So i tried my translation, but when i click on a contact it says this:

"
XML-feldolgozási hiba: nem definiált entitás
Hely: jar:file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/jbodnar/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/84qhvqu7.default/extensions/allpeers@allpeers.com/chrome/allpeers.jar!/content/peer/PeerView.xhtml?ResId=allpeers:95479&ParentId=allpeers:95466:1133
16. sor, 10. oszlop: <title>&ap.peerview.title;</title>
---------^
"

It seems to me it might related to the translation, so i digged down a bit...

I've found this was translated...:
Based on the content/peer/PeerView.xhtml and based on locale/en-EN/apTemplates.dtd it should display something: "Peer View"

So i checked locale/hu-HU/apTemplates.dtd and i've found <!ENTITY ap.peerview.title "Peer Nézet">
which means "Peer View"

So my question is what is the problem now??

Thx for ure help....

Compare offline both apTemplates.dtd files:
en-US\file\apTemplates.dtd > hu-HU\file\apTemplates.dtd
en-US\peer\apTemplates.dtd > hu-HU\peer\apTemplates.dtd

Due to so many unlocalizable strings I suggest to consider remake this version or skip it altogether and possibly bump the number to, say 0.5.6, or so.
I guess, quality of localization is on the first place.

Editing the French is now ok for me, thanks ! So, I have filled in some entries already.

By the way, is there a specific place in Babelzilla where members of a same team (translators of a same extension and for a same language) can discuss ansynchronously ? Or have we to start a specific topic in the global forum ?

Thanks

Hi,

in first place welcome! smile.gif
Of course, there is the French BabelZillian Forum where you can find other French translators and where you can share doubts and/or curiosities about localization(s). wink.gif
There is already also a 3D inherent to this extension!

Have a nice day,
Luana

We will soon (latest on Monday) create a new version - 0.55rc3. It will:
  • rename files with duplicate names,
  • remove empty files,
  • fix all the missing localizations.
Every 3 hours we prepare a file which combines the latest localizations from BabelZilla.org with latest compatible RC and place it on our web - download now.

I wonder if i should use the "you" i use when i talk to friends or the "you" like "thou"?
In german there are different words for it.
Until now i used the casual "you".
