I wonder if i should use the "you" i use when i talk to friends or the "you" like "thou"?
In german there are different words for it.
Until now i used the casual "you".

I'm using the formal "you" for the French translation. I think it's better.

Every 3 hours we prepare a file which combines the latest localizations from BabelZilla.org with latest compatible RC and place it on http://www.allpeers.com/download/babelzill...s_beta-0.55.xpi for you. It should be easier to test it this way I would say.

Cool. My Firefox is in English, how do I test AllPeers in French?

You can use the Quick Locale Switcher extension
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1333/
and download the french locale extension :
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or...in32/xpi/fr.xpi

Then you can switch between the different locales (English and French).

Hello
After translating 100% into French, I get the following error when clicking on a peer :

Erreur d'analyse XML : entité non définie
Emplacement : jar:file:///D:/Olivier/Internet/Firefox/extensions/allpeers@allpeers.com/chrome/allpeers.jar!/content/peer/PeerView.xhtml?ResId=allpeers:3802
Numéro de ligne 16, Colonne 10 : <title>&ap.peerview.title;</title>

Is it a mistake on our side ? or a bug that will be corrected in the rc3 ?

Thanks

EDIT : the reason for this error is the following : although filled in on Babelzilla, the file apTemplates.dtd is empty is the allpeers_beta-0.55.xpi file generated at 9pm on Saturday eve (and before).

The problem with duplicate filename will be fixed on Monday, as soon as we have RC3.

smile.gif I tested the version available here
http://www.allpeers.com/download/babelzill...rc2-windows.xpi

It creates a parsing error for every locale (including the original en-US one)

The problem is in peer/Registration0.xul and its relative entities in locale/peer/apRegistration.dtd

This entity
CODE
<!ENTITY ap.peer.register.tour.allpeers "<html:span class=&apos;txtRed&apos;>ALL</html:span>PEERS">

is creating the problem, probably because entities don't like html tags.

I see 2 solutions :
1. leave the class and html tags and attributes in the content/xul file and just create 2 new entities to be externalized in the locales, one for "ALL", one for "PEERS"
2. much simpler: leave strings ALL and PEERS in the xul file, they don't need to be translated, since they are the extension name in this context (introduction page), and the usual rule is: we don't translate extension names. (if some translators object on this point please tell us, remember we are talking of a dialog window where the extension name is highlighted in red and blue, at first start)

I utterly agree with this one.

Problem solved, BabelZilla converts ' in DTD to html entity, even for original language. However, html entity cannot be used in DTD to quote HTML attribute, what caused parsing error. I wrote a script that converts this back.

We do not want people to translate ALLPEERS and we do not expect them to do so (I agree, it would be better if we remove this from the DTD completely and only use it in the XUL). However, we cannot simply leave it as word, because we want to show it red/blue inside of other translated strings, this is why we need to have it as an element.

Of course you can have the two elements of diff colors for the one word, but you don't need to have them externalized in the locales laugh.gif

I have tried with this codeline in peer/Registration0.xul on line 42

CODE
<html:div style="width:150px; line-height: 30px" class="txtBlue"><html:span class="txtRed">ALL</html:span>PEERS<html:br/>&ap.peer.register.form.share;</html:div>

and it gives that

Compare offline both apTemplates.dtd files:
en-US\file\apTemplates.dtd > hu-HU\file\apTemplates.dtd
en-US\peer\apTemplates.dtd > hu-HU\peer\apTemplates.dtd

Hi !

It seams the babelzilla or the xpi is wrong....

I translated the apTemplates.dtd, but it seems the system (i mean bugzilla, or some other rule what i do no know) put this file on 2 places....

locales\hu-HU\file\apTemplates.dtd this is what i translated
locales\hu-HU\peers\apTemplates.dtd this is empty.....

So i copied the \file\apTemplates.dtd to \peer\apTemplates.dtd and it seems it works...
