Hello,

Could you please explain what this two sentences in the "prefwindow.dtd" file means, I'm not sure I understood.

Because I'm not so good at explaining something in English, I hope that the following sites could help.

Browser.urlbar.search.chunkSize
Browser.urlbar.search.timeout

Könntest du es mir auf deutsch erklären ?
Wir haben schon eine Ahnung von das was es bedeuten könnte, aber um sicher zu sein, frage ich lieber happy.gif !

Kleines PM vielleicht als Antwort ?

Bedanke mich im voraus. smile.gif

Hi, Gulp21,

The browser.urlbar.matchBehavior has a value that Awesome Options didn't add it in 'Match behavior:'.

3 - Match only the beginning of page URLs and titles.

Hallo Gulp21.

A little questions and comments about this new release (0.6pre) :
  • Could you please explain us what the private browsing means
  • I also don't know what is a low secure connection and a high secure connection
  • In the options box, some colours lacks in the dropdownmenus (see screenshot below) : yellow, green and light red
  • I would suggest to replace the dropdown menu for the behaviour definition with a checkbox list (see the screenshot why I propose this). You should also give the option box the ability to resize automaticaly when displaying long text (Wir reden viel, wir Franzosen, wußtest du das nicht ? laugh.gif )

Colours lacks :
Attached File  aws_opt_colours.png   8.51KB   8 downloads
Behaviour :
Attached File  aws_opt_text_too_long.png   11.01KB   9 downloads

[edit]
Just found what this private browsing means : https://wiki.mozilla.org/PrivateBrowsing wink.gif

In awesomeoptions.xul on line 184 you have
<caption label="&aweopt.appearance;"/>
you should have
<caption label="&aweopt.history;"/>

;-)

I've just corrected it. Thank you.

Well, I think I should change it to low encryption and high encryption.

There isn't css code for these colors. Maybe I'll add them later.

I'll change that. The box will be placed in a new line and will resize automatically.

Polish locale released, but I have some remarks, questions:
1. Options window have IMHO strange layout. In the some prefpanes you use groupbox, in the another no. This layout is no elegant.
2. Why after click Reset button is opened new options window?
3. Why link to NoUn Buttons is opened in the new window? Should be IMHO opened in the new tab
4. For what you split 'If you want to part the back and the forward buttons use the NoUn Buttons extension.' to 2 entities?

If you want, I can prepare new design for this window. I'm XUL Warrior & Layout Fakir. smile.gif

Well, I like it. I only use groubox then when there are at least 2 groups.

So the user see that something has changed.

I think that's bug 263433

I think that there are some language in which this sentence doesn't fit into one line.

Today I something play with your extension. You can see my work using attached version. Now something remarks about your response:

You are this extension developer and you decide about this extension layout.

So the user see that something has changed.

User see changes when are changed settings, so new window is redundant. IMHO you should use resetUserPrefs() method from nsIPrefService.

No, see my version. Link is opened in the new tab. smile.gif

You placed these sentences one by one in the same line. It's mean that these 2 sentences will be displayed as one. About wrap decide 'description' attribute, not 2 sentences in the 1 line, but for wrapping must be set window width attribute.

I didn't now this method. Thank you, I'll use it.

There wraps nothing, although I made a test with width attribute. ( tested with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081213 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre, what about a working example?)

I've another problem (in Linux): Since Firefox 3.1 prefwindow has only a close button (fx 3.0: OK and Cancel). Now the code of Awesome Options isn't executed when the window is closed. How do I have to change it?

I'll build options window with wrapped strings.
Edit: Ready to use .xul file in the attached file. This file working with mine version. Open options window via location bar (will be resizable) and see behavior of some sentences.

You should use prefeindow with preferences and set for preferences 'instantApply' attribute. See:
https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Preference...stem:prefwindow
https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Preferences_System:prefpane
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Preference...stem/preference
or add button to prefwindow declaration something like:
buttons="extra1"
buttonlabelextra1="OK"
ondialogextra1="storePrefs();"
